He’s going to be the starting 2. He plays great defense and shot 37% from 3. We don’t need someone that averages 15-18 points. We need someone who averages 10-12, and they got him because he’s experienced. He told Barnes that he’s played in the SEC but he now wants to win in the SEC.

I honestly expect the next wave of NCAA lawsuits to revolve around allowing European professionals to use their college eligibility but barring American people who play 1/2 years of college, then flame out in the pros from using their remaining eligibility.

Gonna be a bit of a hot take...and I honestly don't know if I'll be right or wrong on it.

Mamba & Ament both could be 1 & done top NBA prospects by the end of the season...

If Mamba is one and done then next years team is going probably to be great and could be top 5. Ament needs to play at one and done level for the team to be top 10-15 team.

Mamba would have to be a star and not just show potential because of his age, he’s not a 18 year old that’s newer to the game that the NBA would be drooling over, he’ll be 21 and a guy who’s played a lot of basketball.

Wait, he’s 20 and still in high school? Or has he graduated already and been out of school for a bit?

He turns 20 on December 4th, 2025...

I mean Julian Phillips, Keon Johnson, Jaden Springer all weren't stars and got drafted. I think Mamba has the potential to have a better 1st year than those guys. But 20 year old 6'6" SG that clocks in north of 12 ppg 4 rpg and whatever else he accomplishes on an elite eight (or better) TN team will have some draft stock.

It's just a hope mostly...and with Ament, Abram and Ja'Kobi might not happen...

But really if either of the incoming freshmen talent steps up and fills the DK/Chaz role (maybe just 15+ ppg) then they'll be far more likely to get drafted than a 4th or 5th year guy. I mention Ament/Mamba because they're the 2 most likely of the incoming freshmen based on talent, size, age etc.
