Plus they receive 15%- 25% fee, much higher than professional sports. And these so called agents are usually family members or friends with zero business experience.Agents are 100% the biggest problem with the portal. Way too many bad faith actors looking to make money off gullible/naïve players and families.
KD’s team had very little experience. It was a Calipari team before he really did it. 5 of the top 7 players were freshmen, and the other 2 were sophomores. One sophomore averaged 4 points per game.If Ament is even half as good as KD in college I will be happy asf lol. KD averaged 25 PPG. Hoping Ament can give us 12-13…orrrr more if we’re lucky![]()
When we missed on Rice and he came available I was instantly Rice who.? But this go around felt like nothing but a money grab. The pieces were already in place around him here. And unless a knowledgeable poster, y’all know who you are, says we weren’t competitive dollar wise I’m going to believe we were… and because of that I’m glad the good guys missed. JmoWell damn … was hoping for another high end guard … I get that Maryland has playing time but you aren’t going to win… I’m guessing they dropped a major bag
Personally it's how close vols came to Mckneely or Rice and possibly a top 5 roster. Next season will come down to how great ament is and if he can carry the offensive load. Obviously historically previous freshmen of this stature have but definitely a little more unknown.2 years ago when Knecht was our 3 our starting 2 averaged 6.3ppg, our 4 was 8.4ppg and our 1 was 11.8ppg…not sure why folks are stuck on our 2 guard having to be a 18ppg guy.
I get it, but those guys averaged 1.5-2ppg more than Abram, I’m not sure that’s some massive difference, maybe McKneely given that he’s an elite 3pt shooter because I expect some open looks for our guards, but does that impact Massamba then? Point being idk that’s the difference between Rice or McKneely to what we ended up with is nearly as big as some are acting.Personally it's how close vols came to Mckneely or Rice and possibly a top 5 roster. I think it’s more of McKneely and Rice would take defenders off other guys. I think the ball would’ve gotten spread around a ton better.I get it, but those guys averaged 1.5-2ppg more than Abram, I’m not sure that’s some massive difference, maybe McKneely given that he’s an elite 3pt shooter because I expect some open looks for our guards, but does that impact Massamba then? I agree with that, those guys were definitely the preference, I just don’t think it’s as big of a drop to Abram. He won’t be able to be left either as he’s just as good of a 3pt shooter as Rice, he’s also very good at the rim, needs to stay off the mid range pull up.I think it’s more of McKneely and Rice would take defenders off other guys. Now, I’ve come around on Abram personally so I’m not entirely going to write him off.
Yeah and it's possible Abram and Massamba end up giving this team a more balanced roster instead of the splashy 2 guard. I'm excited for the team and think it'll be much deeper compared to this past year. Just think maybe the offensive ceiling a little lower not landing one of those 2 guards.I get it, but those guys averaged 1.5-2ppg more than Abram, I’m not sure that’s some massive difference, maybe McKneely given that he’s an elite 3pt shooter because I expect some open looks for our guards, but does that impact Massamba then?
