Texas press is in with their SEC tourney predictions, interesting I suppose….i still feel there are 5 teams that could get into the finals, maybe 6 if LSU somehow overcomes losing FJ (can’t see it but who knows).

I don't see Alabama knocking off LSU again. Mulkey doesn't like to lose, especially twice.

I can see Ole Miss taking a shot at Texas. They played them close, although it was a home game.

Vols cannot lose to Vandy twice. No. Please. No.
I would 💯 be in your corner there, but FJ stirs the drink for LSU, without her and knowing Kim likes to save her team for the NCAA’s I think Bama will be hard to beat in this game. OM is certainly capable of giving Texas a game, it will be low scoring tbs, but I would bet on the horns to pull it out. Bama and OM are two of the teams that could crash the finals party along with KY imo. UT’s chances of doing so depend on Cooper’s status.

Yep, I think SC wins it all and won't be close, playing a quasi at home tournament should aid this.
I wish I had your confidence (as a SC fan) @KTrain, but the Uconn loss at home, lets call it what it was, a blowout loss, showed this year’s version of SC has weaknesses that surface, namely defending bigs down low and also preventing offensive rebounds (See also the UCLA game), KY is capable of beating SC based upon the matchups (Strack was dominate vs SC) and tbh if Coop is healthy and UT finds their form like against Uconn, they are capable. I wouldn’t bet a dollar on the winner of this tourney, but logically I think SC “should” be in the finals. You just never know this year.

I can understand where you are coming from, I just believe that UConn game was a perplexing outlier. I think the Vols beating UConn may have made SC underestimate them. I just really like the makeup of SCs team and Edwards, Paopao Hall, Kitts and Fulwiley is just a dynamic bunch to work with and in the friendly confines will exacerbate that problem
for the opposing teams, it will be a fun tournament to watch some good matchups.

I know every game is win or go home, and I know every team is starting a clean slate tomorrow and will be putting it all out there.

But I'm thinking that even if Tay is cleared to play tomorrow, I'd hold her out. Might even hold her out for two games, even if that means we lose without her.

If we made it to the third round? Yeah, I'd let her play then -- maybe bring her off the bench and see how it goes. We need her more in the NCAA Tournament.

glv98, are you thinking like me that maybe exiting the SEC Tournament early wouldn't be the worst thing for this team? IF Kim were to give the players extended rest and some fun distractions and NOT work them to death for the entire run-up to the NCAAT, I could see that helping the team a lot.

Man its tough bc an exit in the first two rounds likely sends us packng in the NCAAs. Lose twice to Vandy?

OTHO if the injury is anything at alll, I'd sure want to hold her out at least against TAM. Hobson's choice.

I'm chasing the rainbow that Coop's fine after seeing that pic of her arriving in Gville. We couldn't see her lower legs so don't know if there was a boot or anything. We'll just have to watch Cora's tweets when they come out to warm up tomorrow.

We'll know alot in the first qtr. Hopefully there won't be another Sleepytown start. Hope to see the reset early on, Coop or no Coop.

Just the way I see it , Texas has all the pieces to win it all. Guard play is a must but the Lady's down low are super strong. They don't shoot many 3s so there bigs are hard to out rebound. Texas has to play dumb to not win it . Just my 2 cents.

This is so cringe to me. Pierre is good, but you should just let her play speak for her.

I mean, she’s not lying. Pierre was robbed and I’m glad Shea called it out.
Agree w both. Generally find it cringe. But KP did get robbed and also IMO alot of this is a coach trying to love up her player who happens to be mentioned as a possible transfer lately.

I could be wrong but I think the yr KY made a Cinderella run to the SEC chip was the yr Rhyne Howard wrote SNUBBED on her shoes. So while its cheesy af, you never know.

IMO Morrow also got robbed. Way more consistent than Booker

I agree. Individual accolades are great, but at the end of the day it's a team sport. In a 16 team league, someone is always going to be left out. There's been a few times this year that something didn't quite look right with Vandy and I have a feeling that a couple individual 50+ point performances has something to do with that.
