2025 NFL Offseason Thread

Sounds like you don’t know what you’re talking about. When I’m watching the men’s tournament show and they’re scrolling the women’s stuff on the screen it’s obviously them pushing something few care about.

I got bad news for ya buddy.

They do the same thing when talking about the women's tournament. Also ESPN has rights to the women's tournament. They don't have the rights to the men. They want to push their programming. All the sports networks do this.

Clay Travis is not as enlightening as you think my friend.

LOL.

I don't care so nobody does.

I don't think you understand gamblers or the growth of womens sports.

70 league insiders voted these guys as the top 10 QB's:

Mahomes
Allen
Burrow
Lamar
Daniels
Stafford
Herbert
Goff
Hurts
Baker

Here are my tiers:
Mahomes
Allen, Burrow
Lamar, Stafford, Daniels
Goff, Hurts
Herbert, Love, Stroud, Baker

Nod for the Stroud love. The Strouds approve. No flag given. 😉

Good point. It does give the gamblers a little something to lay a little scratch on during the slow season. I doubt many watch the games though. Might do a parlay on the odds of a dong thrown on the court or a wig falling off.

I will say, I'm curious why you have Stafford a tier above Goff when Goff is 7 years young, clearly been better the last three years and Stafford is one hit away from never playing another snap again.

For example, I kept YouTube TV all year when it was $65/month. After the NBA draft, I cancelled it because I don't want to spend $82/month for two months of barely using it. I was going to watch the Speedway Classic, but realized I needed YouTube TV. Well, no thanks, I can miss one game of baseball between two mediocre teams. Not to get political, but with wages being stagnant around the country and the current economic climate, I think these sports leagues are not really valuing that sports used to be something affordable everyone can enjoy. They are pricing out the younger generation. And that won't hurt in 5-10 years. But it will in 30 years.
There are ways to split YTTV with people out of your household...

Jackson is maybe the best floor-raising QB in the league, but I do not trust him in the playoffs at all. Hell, we put question marks on Josh Allen in the playoffs, and he's got a winning record, and lost a couple all-timers at no fault of his own. Burrow went to the SB and put together a game-winning drive in the 4th quarter, but then Cooper Kupp happened.

All 3 of them put up insane stats and play totally different styles of QB, and that makes it difficult to compare them, so I just use the playoffs as a tie-breaker.

The NFL just got equity in CBS

Holy hell the league will never be criticized again

I mean, won't change anything for me. I don't watch any of these shows because this is basically how they already operated.

ESPN/CBS lose interest bc they're just league cheerleaders/hot take artists + niche podcasts begin to provide another level of analysis that we always craved = ESPN/CBS become the league

Might as well make this thing official, like Frank Reynolds and Charlie Kelly tying the knot.

Well now that you bring up playoff record and performance I have to wonder if Hurts deserves to be higher on all our lists including the insiders list you originally posted? Granted last years run really boosted his playoff resume but it counts. How did they put Herbert ahead of Hurts?

Yeah, I think playoff success is why Hurts is as high as he is, because his stats aren't top tier and neither is his skill set. He's a mobile QB who isn't that good throwing on the run.

He's got intangibles and what he does with the tush push is underrated.

He's a very tough guy to judge.

I agree with you about Hurts being tough to judge. I’d probably put him at #6 but you could put him anywhere in the 5-10 range and make a reasonable argument. Hurts is a good runner, generally takes care of the ball, throws a good deep ball, and tends to play his best in the biggest games.
