Was Azzi Fudd named after Jennifer Azzi?

Both of her parents played college basketball — her mother at NC State and Georgetown, and her father at American. According to her official UConn bio, Fudd is named in honor of Jennifer Azzi, a former national college player of the year in 1990 who went on to play in the WNBA.

That’s not what I said it’s not about it happening in your lifetime.
Coach Caldwell is 35-36 years old. Coach Caldwell beat this same UConn team in a season where this year’s team never reached its ceiling under a 1st year Power-4 coach. CKC is an incredible coach that understands how to build a team and program.
Tennessee can win multiple championships under CKC.

That interview was a coach who’s resigned to just throwing ish at the wall and hoping for anything to stick at this point.

The difference in UConn this season is Strong and Fudd.. both have played extremely well in this tournament.. Yes , Paige is awesome , but without Strong and Fudd , UConn would not be winning a championship.. Both playing outstanding today ! An early congrats to the UConn players ..never will be a fan of Geno, though ! Just can’t ! 😎
