2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

I've learned a lesson in fantasy sports that are auction style, specifically baseball. At least in leagues I've been in, the top guys always require some sticker-shock value to get. So my tendency was to avoid those guys and kind of wait for the next tier where I could get more value. The problem is, once the top guys are taken, the owners who didn't get one of the elite superstars are now desperate, and you end up in bidding wars for 2nd or 3rd tier players that drive the price right up close to the top tier players.

My point: it feels like we should have taken Sorsby at $5M if it's true that $5M would have put him on our roster. Now we're in a situation where we're either going to have to overpay for a lower rated QB or just hope another JA (or JA himself) falls in our lap again. I think we're underestimating how lucky we were to land a guy as good as Aguilar that late in the game.

It should also be noted I have no idea what I'm talking about because I have no clue what guy out there does or doesn't fit our gameplan...
I knew a guy whose philosophy when going out to a bar or club was to go ugly early. That would have been a better strategy than whatever UT’s is for a portal QB.

I keep waiting for a top FCS guy to enter. None yet. So it could just end up being the usual suspects already mentioned

Not sure all the numbers you looked at but it’s 140 total TDs for an avg of 28 TD per year.

Agree with your point tho!
You might be just doing the starters. I actually count 168 touchdowns when counting all touchdowns (passing and rushing) committed by all quarterbacks from 2021-2025. That'd be an average of 33.6 per year

40 in 2021
42 in 2022
32 in 2023
24 in 2024
30 in 2025

168 touchdowns divided by 5= 33.6

Got all the stats from espn

idk why everyone is upset at DW, I mean he’s giving us an entertainment district…with a deal like that you’ll never even get to the game it’ll be so cool!

Dannywood! $65 entry fee, $5 for a bottle of water, $3 for a bathroom visit but he’s so generous your toilet paper is free!!!!

I don't mind the ED. I just don't like that he's gonna block the river/Henley St view of Neyland with a freakin' Motel 6.
