I've learned a lesson in fantasy sports that are auction style, specifically baseball. At least in leagues I've been in, the top guys always require some sticker-shock value to get. So my tendency was to avoid those guys and kind of wait for the next tier where I could get more value. The problem is, once the top guys are taken, the owners who didn't get one of the elite superstars are now desperate, and you end up in bidding wars for 2nd or 3rd tier players that drive the price right up close to the top tier players.
My point: it feels like we should have taken Sorsby at $5M if it's true that $5M would have put him on our roster. Now we're in a situation where we're either going to have to overpay for a lower rated QB or just hope another JA (or JA himself) falls in our lap again. I think we're underestimating how lucky we were to land a guy as good as Aguilar that late in the game.
It should also be noted I have no idea what I'm talking about because I have no clue what guy out there does or doesn't fit our gameplan...
