How would one know if he can actually sling? With the very few snaps he’s gotten you know that he can hand the ball off and at least throw it across the line of scrimmage. That is about all you can get from his limited playing time.

Move the center to guard where he is probably better. RB would be a 1a-1b punch which is necessary going through 9 SEC games. Let’s be honest… Everyone behind Bishop is based on potential and their aren’t many behind him now. Yes, Morris has flashed, but can he be consistent and can he consistently pick up blitzes. I sure would not want to rely on a True sophomore as my number two back. What if Bishop goes down with a significant injury early in the season? I would go out and sign a top running back right now.

JMO, but we need to add 3 300lb+ guys to clog the middle. Do that, and add with the guys already on the roster, minus the guys who just signed because they most likely need a year of S&C, and you have a healthy rotation of guys.

But what I think and what the coaches do are always different things. Begged for more DL and secondary last year to no avail. You can't have enough DL or OL, especially in the SEC. Someone's going to get hurt and miss time. It's a given.

So it's not always a guarantee that the next guy is just gonna come right in and throw 3000+ and light it up. We've proven we can make it to the playoffs without that, but we had a top of the conference defense and NFL running back on roster that year too. I still think we need to try and figure out bringing a starter in for next year with defense being brand new. JMO.

The judge sides with Joey and grants him another year. He's already enrolled at UT and all he has to do is just finish out his last year at UT as our starting QB.

That almost sounds too simple

Right. Where are all these people getting that we don't backchannel? And they think it's because we're on probation and/or White won't allow it.

BACK CHANNELING IS NOT AGAINST THE RULES. SCHOOLS TALK TO THE AGENTS, NOT THE PLAYERS.

It's not that hard, people. We also did it with QBs last year after Nico left...like Aguilar, like Angeli, and like Josh Hoover.

But on the other hand what if the judge doesn't do that?

We are stuck with just 2 QBs. Gotta have a 3rd no matter what. If he gets the waiver and you have 4 so be it but even if its just a depth piece we have to have one.

See if there was a spring portal we could sit back and be patient and see what happens with Joey. So much urgency for a season so far away.

That was last year, before DW started bringing things more in house and wanting it all ran through him.


This is a guess, but it wouldn't surprise me if all the statements about us "tampering" with guys after Nico left bothered the hell out of DW. It's bad press. And I could see it making him take more control. Especially given what we know about his desire for secrecy.

Cause it was said that he wont allow it. Which may be partially true. He wont openly allow it. But what happens behind closed doors is another thing entirely. Cant win in this day and age if you arent tampering or cheating a little.

I think we are all operating under the assumption Joey isnt getting another year, based on news breaking that its unlikely and other guys losing their appeals.

I mean, we will all be saying "lets rise" if he does get another year.

I have seen some speculation that the spring portal thing could get revisited. When after spring a bunch of players see the writing on the wall and start telling coaches they want to go to the portal.
