You're good brother. I was tongue in cheek as well. It hardly affects me at all anymore I just have had a slow start to the year and plenty of time to read some forums.

I truly do think the younger UT fans get crapped on a little for being "entitled". We are all sitting here thinking entitled to what? We've been good a handful of times, mediocre a few more, and mainly garbage since I've been an adult. I just want to win.

Im doing my darnedest to keep on the sunny side here.

Maybe somebody has done the math on this. A third of all CFB players (or thereabouts) are in the portal. Yes, the top end guys are going to get got fairly quickly and get paid handsomely. BUT, if we bide our time on depth pieces, we can get some GREAT value in 2 weeks.

Before someone says it, yes, we need to pay and get quality starters. But for any non starters, why rush? Those dudes are going to panic in a few weeks and we can (potentially) get some quality depth for cheap.

Just a thought. Could be completely wrong.

you might be right but that is a pretty big risk for Heupel. going into an important season and coming off of a disappointing season. we will find out soon

We need too pay someone over pay whatever and get some positive momentum going bc hasn't been great at all...

Yep. Took the words right out of my mouth. Most of my life all I’ve seen is this program flounder and get left in the dust, I’ve seen only a few great seasons. When I was in school if I told someone I was a Tennessee fan, they’d just say, “I’m sorry, dude”, lol. I’ve got no memory of the glory days. I just wanna see us be consistently great and able to keep up with the Joneses.

If we're entitled, I’d hate to see what the old men who act like it’s still 1998 are.

That's where I am. Pay quickly for the guys you gotta have, but right now I think patience is going to win.
