2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

There’s huge desire from every faction of boosters, staff etc for Ty to play here. On the off chance he opts out of draft, an army of money will appear.
Best case scenario IMO. Simpson or JA is a no brainer to me. One is a first round draft pick talent who elevated a one dimensional offense to the playoffs. The other is a later round pick who led his team to a loss in the MCB.

4.9 is still fast, in general, 😂. I guess people think 4.9 is like trying to run in quicksand. 4.5 is smoking. Sub 4.4 is world class speed.
I am very confident that I could get off the couch and run a sub 8.0 40 right now. I would then have to return to the couch with a respirator and ice on my knees afterward.

4.5 is not fast for a db, you’d be hard pressed to find a db at an sec school that gets play time running a 4.5
What about the NFL?

At the 2022 NFL Combine, Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton ran an official 4.59-second 40-yard dash, which was slower than some anticipated but still impressive given his large size (6'4", 220 lbs), leading to him being selected 14th overall by the Baltimore Ravens. He also posted strong vertical (38") and broad (10'11") jumps, and despite the 40-yard dash time, his fluid movement on the field demonstrated his exceptional athleticism, with NFL.com and WMAR 2 News Baltimore reporting the time.

We need Garner and all his accomplishments to close Coleman

I get that LSU is attractive and they’re throwing bags, but other than that, that school and Kiffin are a cesspool of dysfunction. If I’m a recruit or portal player, I wouldn’t have much trust in that staff. Smart choice would be to pick TN and play for the coaches you’re already familiar with. But I know all these kids see is $$$ these days. LSU is fools gold imo.

I always find it hilarious that you see all of these high school recruits that supposedly run 4.3 and 4.4’s. Yet at the NFL combine you only see a few that actually run those times. Safe to say I’m always a little skeptical of the 40 times of high school recruits.

Wow! Do you think Ty is better than Joey, especially when you consider Ty will have to learn the scheme? Also, I wonder if money will appear from everywhere from boosters to get him here is because we also want inroads with the family to get his brother? Ty finishing as a Vol and getting drafted top 10 would certainly have to be attractive for Graham and the Simpsons.

Heupel hasn’t had a returning starting QB since Hooker. I don’t count Milton.

The leap that Hooker made from 2021 to 2022 was quite substantial even after a really good 2021 campaign. I feel that Aguilar with his experience and a year in our system, he could have a huge 2026, if the 6th year is granted.
Yeah and he won't have a dang tumor in his arm that was impeding his bicep and pushing up against his labrum.

Particularly Homer.

I used Hamilton as an example because he is considered one of the top safeties in the NFL right now.
