No I said, we had a better chance of getting Bart Simpson than Ty Simpson,
When someone brought up the subject of getting TY in the transfer portal!


Then in reply to , “if he was to play another year “ we would have a chance.” I said he is 1000% not coming back .

So that is what I said. Not sure how you don’t understand , it’s a pretty simple statement.

First statement directly based on the second. Simple.
No chance of getting him because he ain’t passing up the draft. My opinion. We will see soon if I’m right.

Agreed..For the life of me I don't understand it. We'd be lucky to go 6-6 with our schedule and an inexperienced QB playing..No matter how improved the defense is.

I'd be shocked if he passed up the draft too. I hope he does,but don't see it. Especially as weak as this years QB draft class is. May actually be worse than last years.

I just don’t understand having him and fb on the bench making millions when there are other holes on the roster. I get those holes will get addressed regardless but more money in those pools would def help. Love playing back seat gm to a coach who has made a career of being a qb whisper lmao

Not sure who we are targeting or how we’re going to make it happen, but you can’t roll into next year with Gmac and Faizon. Our schedule is way more tough. We have the weapons, just need an experienced QB to get them the ball.

I can't imagine GMac is making even a million.. Atleast not yet. Honestly, if neither is ready you can't play them just to play them. If GMac was truly ready, no way Heupel would go out and pay big for a 1 year portal QB. I think GMac and/or Faizon will play great here, but I'd really prefer to not see either start next year If we can't get a tier 1 or 2 QB, then who knows.

Seems a little far fetched they’d go get the kid they could’ve had last time but chose someone else instead when he has no other game tape to show.

Knight always seemed like a gamble to me anyway. Didn’t he transfer to a Nashville school then transfer right back to a MS school? Like didn’t even last a year.

Yeah then you have to tell a donor he's spending 3 million a season on AT BEST a backup. Good luck trying to get that 3 mil back when you want to get an actual impact player long term. And if he wins, then you're spending for the other lol. it's easy to say just spend the most on the fun positions when it's not your money and you don't have to manage people...

I don’t expect us to get him but at the time we had 1 spot to give and like GMAC a little better. Now we can have both on the roster if they wanted to. I doubt it happens anyways, I’m expecting they want an experienced guy to bridge the gap for GMAC/Faizon and they want to win now. An experienced guy probably gives you the best shot at winning big next year.

Do you expect Faizon to start next year? lol I don’t think anyone should realistically expect that. Even if we don’t bring this kid in and GMAC starts next year and balls (well guess what, Faizon is sitting in the bench the same amount of time anyways or transferring.) bringing this kid in changes the situation no way whatsoever. If he came in and won the job and played well, GMAC is gone and Faizon still sitting in the bench. Or Faizon is special and beats them both out anyways.

Would argue Tennessee got another favorable schedule too. Could very well go 8-4 with no ranked wins yet again. Granted these new coaches at some spots should have some instant success (i.e. LSU) but you get the point. GT was good this year, but loses everyone, including nearly their whole asst coaching staff

I feel like George having 4 head coaches in 4 years, and being the QB Saban wanted, and being ranked a top 15 overall recruit..he should get some credit. He had surgery on his hand before elite 11 summer before senior year and his rankings tanked. Trying to salvage a senior season behind an awful offensive line at that. Kid is good, just needs a chance to show it
