That is no surprise he got better. He went from Tony Elliott to Dan Mullen. That is like going from Dave Clawson to Lane Kiffin aka Crompton lol

UVA also started going hard in the portal (specifically RB WR and OL) in the 2024 cycle. Just mayyybe had something to do with Virginia getting better

Colanderea was at UVA for two years.
They IMMEDIATELY got better after he left.
Anyone can go look at his stats too. And his numbers at UNLV with their schedule.

He went from a 200 yard rusher at UVA to a 600 yard rusher at UNLV.

I do not want to see this dude suite up for Tennessee. Just my opinion

He only played his freshmen year when the QB got injured at UVA. Plays for Dan Mullen and puts up nearly 3500 yards of offense and is a true dual threat. I doubt we are going to him but he would be a great depth piece. Players play better as they get older and get better coaching.

folks on here saying we've already secured funds to go big...

Yet, until I'm proven wrong, we will most likely do what we've done so far, go bargain shopping... We continue to do this and lose 4 again next season, and the fanbase will start to riot with the prices they are pushing on us... something will have to give...

And justifiably, Heup's and DW's arses should get real warm...

I hope we actually break the cycle and spend what is necessary to upgrade the defense and get a good QB and RB...

They’ve already showed they’re making moves. Securing best recruiting class in 20 years, firing Banks, hiring a proven DC NOT associated with Heupel in the past. Do you need more at the moment?

I'm curious why no one has brought up looking into Byrum Brown? I understand the thought is he will follow Golesh. But Auburn has been losing talent at a rapid rate since him taking over. Plus Brown is a proven QB in our (similar) system.

It makes all kinds of sense it feels like. He'd play in a system he knows with small variable changes and gets to play on a much more talented roster with a real chance to compete for a championship.

It's confusing why there hasnt been any stated interest from both parties. I guess the Golesh connection is too strong.

Truth. With a top 40-50 defense we would’ve been in the playoffs.

Yes. Next years schedule will be much more challenging. Who knows at this point bc we have so many questions defensively and at the qb position. I trust Heupel to have a pretty good team but idk if that’s gonna meet some peoples expectations. I just want to see some measure of discipline next year and not the sloppy penalties and lazy tackling attempts.

All that's great, but if you don't have a QB, RB depth, and a better defense than this past season, all that means nothing.
