2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

Funny,

folks on here saying we've already secured funds to go big...

Yet, until I'm proven wrong, we will most likely do what we've done so far, go bargain shopping... We continue to do this and lose 4 again next season, and the fanbase will start to riot with the prices they are pushing on us... something will have to give...

And justifiably, Heup's and DW's arses should get real warm...

I hope we actually break the cycle and spend what is necessary to upgrade the defense and get a good QB and RB...
I've read an awful lot of stupid **** on this board, but this really takes the cake.... I mean holy ****

Everyone thinks it’ll take Knowles 2-3 years to get the defense good enough to be a playoff team but they forget how close we were to being a playoff team with a trash defense this year. A missed FG, pick 6, and a scoop and score. Very close to being 11-0 headed into the Vandy game with a TRASH defense
I would say the Bama game would be hard to know. Beating them at home would’ve been tough even without that pick 6. The other two were hard to understand how we lost. Vandy no one gave a crap.

Give and take. He’s more of a gambler than those two were, which also gave us some jump balls to Brazzell and maybe Matthews. He had 4 less INT’s in essentially the same number of attempts the year before at App State. Also had 40 more completions, which is our system. You could also count at least 2 or 3 that went off hands- I recall at least one to Kitselman and Staley.
Kitselman dropped 2 that ended up being INT’s, Staley fell down on a route that went into the safeties hands

That is no surprise he got better. He went from Tony Elliott to Dan Mullen. That is like going from Dave Clawson to Lane Kiffin aka Crompton lol
UVA went 11-3 this year.

As I said they got better after he left.

He only played his freshmen year when the QB got injured at UVA. Plays for Dan Mullen and puts up nearly 3500 yards of offense and is a true dual threat. I doubt we are going to him but he would be a great depth piece. Players play better as they get older and get better coaching.
And easier competition???
Also he played both years at UVA.

Luckily Heupel doesn’t seem to be interested either.

I get so tired of the route tree stuff. Look at Jamar Chase routes during a game. Looks like bonsai tree routes. Like D1 WRs don’t know ins, outs, slants, curls, comebacks, posts etc by the time they are 15. That’s all 7 v 7 is.
