Does Aguilar and his appeal potentially have a negative impact on who the Vols can get at QB? If there isn’t an answer before the portal opens curious if they wait for his result or go get their guy and tell him good luck.

Yup. There are players out there. Kiffin found one. Vandy found one. Question in my mind is do we have a coach who knows what to look for? Heupel's QB evals have been rather disappointing to say the least. Thankfully, we have a QB coach we can look to for the answers. Yessir, a hidden gem incoming from the portal with Heupel and Halze on the job.

Rather have Barnett 10/10

I said this and caught a lot of flack for saying Barnett is the better prospect. Colandrea is smaller, turnover prone and doesn’t have nearly the offensive success rate that Barnett does. Both are pretty mobile but Barnett has almost double the rushing TD’s, less than half the turnovers, and averages 200 more rushing yards per year. All that said I think Colandrea is a solid option; it’s just in my opinion Barnett is better.

This. Ward was a highly sought after transfer for sure, but he exceeded expectations at Miami. Hard to say who, if anyone, from this group will replicate that but there are enough good options in the portal to give this team an experienced QB that can win games with our skill players.

I didn’t realize Alonzo Barnett went to the same high school as Faizon Brandon in Greensboro (Grimsley). He really may be the guy we go after being that he brings the added dimension of running ability.

Coming from JMU may also not scare McIntyre away. If not Colandrea, this is the guy I want. Especially if it saves money for defense. Barnett would be a very solid get.
