Well, I assume that even if we are at 103 including walkons, that one of those walkons would be told "sorry" to make room for the SEC passing yards leader, 5th all time UT passer, and 2nd year QB that knows the offense inside and out under battle tested conditions.

And you could be right, but I have seen some strange things in roster management and a lot of decisions fans disagree with over the years in Tennessee athletics. Let's call my hesitation to make assumptions keeping my cup on.

Win or lose, this year we need to get our backups plenty time to play with our starting offense.

Feel like Heup wasted too much time in getting JA 200 + yards a game, last year…

We could of have started both backup QBs at halftime during to Florida game too…

Since I apparently stirred folks up by casting doubt on roster space, disregard my hesitation to assume anything about Aguilar's return if he gets the injunction relief. I hope he's back. I want him to be back. That's a really strong looking offense if he is.

Glad we landed a QB. Slight veteran too. Doubt he ever plays but its good to have insurance.

I oddly like this a lot better than spending 5 million on peg leg Leavit.

I only wanted Leavitt after Heupel pushed so hard for him. Figured there was a good reason lol. Until I kept hearing about his character issues. That’s the last thing we need in that locker room.

That just isn't how roster limits work, so is your preference to leave a spot unfilled on the off-chance of good news? Screw someone over who was committed to being on the team with no portal window? Tennessee has to make a choice in terms of roster management, and none of us know what choice they have or will make. Tennessee has 103 spots, and I'm willing to bet they prefer to fill all of them.

Unless you are on scholarship, your spot is not guaranteed. Walk-ons know this. Not all of the 103 are going to be scholarship players.
