2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

Quick Google search says 15 million…that’s pretty mild imo…if the Steelers want him, they’ll get him, he fits that city to a T…

Yep. Consider the following facts:

1. Cignetti was born June 2, 1961, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
2. He played quarterback for the nearby West Virginia Mountaineers from 1979 to 1982.
3. He was an assistant coach at Pitt (QB/TE) from 1993–1999.
4. He was head coach at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, which is about an hour's drive east of Pittsburgh, from 2011-2016. Curt Cignetti - Wikipedia

Needless to say, he has rather strong ties to the greater Pittsburgh area.

The best in the business Insider Adam Schefter stated that Cignetti wasnt even on the radar for the Pittsburgh job. It was mentioned yesterday and this morning...

Chris Shula the Rams DC is top target along with Brian Flores....

Would people stop posting stories and asking piece of **** AI to analyze them. If you can’t actually read the story don’t start speculation.

It’s about Sean Thompkins an offensive lineman that had crystal balled to UNC.

As much as people on here ***** about $9.95 maybe if you’re going out of your way to have AI poorly analyze articles behind a paywall and flipping out you should just pay it.

And all of that is absolutely meaningless in the context of the pro athlete and Cignetti coaching style.

The dude is made to coach college kids, but Pros. Even with NIL, the majority of the team of the same mentality of winning and have fun while in college. They’re kids that can be molded into a greater cause.

I don’t see a pro-tram bending that way for Cignetti:JMO

I doubt I know more than any of our coaches. But I also know they make mistakes, too. It gets tiresome that some think they're infallible. If they were, we'd have more championships to crow about. It doesn't always take an expert to point out shortcomings.
The point of my earlier post is not about whether coaches make mistakes. It's more about us as fans know very little about what really goes on. And every time we don't get a player the stupidity on this site is baffling.

In my opinion, other than watching the actual games, I think recruiting and portal additions are the most enjoyable part of being a fan. So I like to sit back and read/talk about who we are getting or might be getting.
