Let's just take Heupel's offense that is one of the most easily adaptable and let some young guy give it a shot. I was on the "don't play the young QB's, they'll literally die" train, but these two guys still have some really talented arms. MacIntyre had some great throws in the orange and white game last year. And if we were going to throw a true freshman QB out there, this is a good year to do it. Whoever it is will have 2 750 yard WRs, 4 returning OL including a five star elite LT, a 1000 yard RB, and a young tight end who has shown consistent playmaking ability.

If the spotlight's too big for the first one, throw the other one out there and see how he handles it. I'm not expecting a deep playoff run this season, so I'm down to let our coaches experiment in the interim. I can't wait to see it all come together.

Seems like a bold faced lie by AP because why not. Needs to give us a little hope after telling us we’ll have an fcs qb next year with a 1 in 100,000 chance of them turning out to be a chambliss.

This is the old way of college football. It you want to keep talent and be able to close talent you have to #1 Be able to pay #2 Be able to compete.

If you can't sell both you'll lose out more often than not. Can't afford a throw away year. Start either of the two freshmen and that's what your conceding, a 7 to 8 win season.

It wouldn’t hurt some of you to take a deep breath and read what’s posted on here, before you post. Wasn’t it posted earlier in this thread that DW is having stuff go through him first and why it slowed down the portal for us at first, or has that been debunked?

While other coaches were making contact before portal opened, ours was handcuffed.

Been a couple of really disappointing days, at least we closed on another strong pass rusher.

But man whiffing on all the QB's........ Staff can't close!

Part of Danny White’s job is to keep our noses clean while we’re still on probation. We all know there are ways to get around rules, there’s not a dang one of us that knows whats happening behind closed doors, I guess it’s too much fun to speculate and draw conclusions. I’m in the same mind that weezys in, let the chaos keep going, it’s entertaining like a good coaching search does.

The NCAA doesn't care, Lane just got caught publicly tampering with a signee. If they're going to enforce selectively you take them to court and tell them sit and spin. The NCAA is on life support, waiting to be broken.

I’ll be the first in line to see that corrupt organization taken down and put out of its misery. That doesn’t speak to DW’s mindset, whether it’s the NCAA or our reputation. Don’t mind me, I’m just speculating. I do think our public face is so much different than behind the scenes. I’ll also say I haven’t seen much panic in the staff about a pickup on QB. It’s been mostly a closed button.

I agree, I think they have a plan, contingencies. I think they shot their shots. I'm interested to see where they go from here.

That’s why they get paid more than you and I’ll ever see. I do think that Josh has a pecking order as far as getting a QB. I trust him to find one and if he doesn’t, I don’t even don’t want to go there. I still believe (sunshine pushers, unite!).

Searching around on twitter about Devon Dampier and it doesn’t seem like he’s ever said whether or not he’s returning to Utah. He’s not in the portal, but he’s been suspiciously quiet.

Some expected him to follow Whitt to Michigan but they are committed to Underwood.

We just saw Moa hop in the portal. I’m all over this Dampier guy if I’m Heupel. He’s like a healthier, faster Leavitt.
