2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

Doubt it.

Sanders, Perry, and Pendleton will all improve. And Moe will be back. Heard was much better than the year before, but that’s largely because he was terrible the year before. There’s a reason he didn’t go pro: He would have been retiring from football. His horrible footwork caused a scoop and score in the bowl game. He was pretty good, but certainly not great…which is why he’s now at Kentucky and not a real football program.

The OLine will be better.
I hope they are. I just don't think they will be. We shall see.

I think... And I'm just spit ballin here... The QB was intended to be some combination of leavitt, Simpson or sorsby, figuring we'd get one...sorsby, never really got a shot at him, Simpson goes pro and now it's LSU and Tennessee in desperation mode for a QB and now we find out he just wanted to go to LSU. Great.

And now we are where we are. Nobody probably thought it would be this hard to get someone that wanted to play in this offense.

I also think there may have been some under-valuing initially as well.

Now we just need some competitive depth in that room and see what happens.

If I were in charge.. I'd now shift to really building up the o line, get a RB, and continue the plan on defense.

You can field a highly competitive team with a competitor at QB, a la stetson Bennett, and win at high level.

Stetson Bennett is a baller. He made plays for Georgia all year without him they are not nearly as good as they are. He makes them better. Tough as hell too when throwing under duress and taking huge shots to the chin. It’s not easy finding a Stetson Bennett.

He was a 5' nothing walk on is what I'm getting at.

We need the best available QB for 2026. This is a year to year thing now. If Gmac not willing to stay than he is not a competitive guy.
That's bull. Every single kids that went in the portal thinks they can improve their situation financially and/or competitively.

The high end guys are looking for a pay day. The vast majority after that are LOOKING for a situation, competitively, that may afford them a better opportunity to play.

And let's not forget, he hasn't entered knowing we're gonna get another QB regardless, and his heir apparent is already signed.

What’s the mood in the complex about the qb situation? Doubt they are freaking out like GQ but curious what sense of worry there might be.What’s the mood in the complex about the qb situation? Doubt they are freaking out like GQ but curious what sense of worry there might be.
