This isn't nearly as entertaining as the Gruden threads. Those threads stayed active all night for the most part. We even had a "3rd shift" so to speak of usual posters who chimed in at night and kept things rolling till day shift logged back in the next morning. Good times for sure.

The funny thing about the Gruden threads is just how close he came to being our coach. Gruden has admitted as much in some interviews. Said something about the timing was just not right.

Sad thing is that he said he wants to coach in the SEC now, but no one has given him an interview.

I doubt that Coach Heupel will ever guarantee a starting spot to anyone being recruited. That's the quickest way to lose the locker room. He may guarantee the opportunity to have a chance to start based of what they show in practice, and I think every player understands that message

I’ve seen people say Oregon will get one and Miami will get the other. Seems like Raiola is waiting to see what he does because I haven’t seen him linked to any others.

Our coaches offer the opportunity to compete for the starting job. Hence why we don't land everyone. A lot of kids (remember everyone, a lot is two words) want guaranteed starting spots going into their last year or two.
