2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

I don’t ask this bc I want him to be a Vol but I haven’t heard diddly about Dylan Raiola…

Where’s he going?
Has to be G5 bound at this point, unless Miami really needs a QB. Honestly wonder what’s causing it….. he’s not anything special, and his Mahomes worship is cringeworthy, but it’s not like he’s a terrible QB either. Really figured he’d have ended up at another P5.

Joey @ 3 Mil
Or
Sam @ 5
Who you taking?
If it’s coming out of our total budget, probably Joey. If a booster is footing the bill, separate from the rest of our budget, probably Sam if confident his injury isn’t gonna be an issue.

So yeah, I don’t know. Glad I don’t have to decide. Ask us in Dec of this year.

I could be wrong, but pretty sure west Georgia is either D2 or low level FCS. ESPN probably doesn’t track those stats, outside of FBS or high level FCS opponents.
I have a niece that went to school there so i watched a bit this year out of curiosity and he is a freak athlete

I will say Leavitt is the type of player who could help us bring in some better talent as well. We need this to get done before Oregon can get ahold of him.
I’m supremely concerned about his injury, but if we get him at his best he could legitimately vault us to being a national title contender. That kind of talent. But the injury is a huge concern. If we can get him in the boat without sacrificing funds that would go to the defense (I know we supposedly had separate QB funding) then I’m all for taking the chance. Massive fall off from him in the portal, so worst case you end up getting one of the freshmen more experience no matter how it goes.

Two new names have emerged and have become priority targets for the Vols and running backs coach De’Rail Sims: Kendrick Raphael (Cal) and Bryson Washington (Baylor).

Raphael is scheduled to be in Knoxville to begin his visit Thursday night while Washington will be in town Friday, his agent told On3’s Pete Nakos.

Raphael is a multi-purpose back who can do it both on the ground and through the air. In 2025, the Cal Standout rushed for a career-high 943 yards on 232 carries with 13 touchdowns. The 232 carries led all of the ACC. Raphael also hauled in 245 yards with one additional score on 34 receptions. For his efforts this past season, Raphael was named Honorable Mention All-ACC.

Prior to Cal, Raphael began his collegiate career at NC State in 2023. He started the final three games and finished the year with 309 yards and one score on 67 carries in the 11 games played. As a sophomore with the Wolfpack in 2024, Raphael earned 425 yards on the ground with three touchdowns on 78 carries in 12 games.

Washington logged 788 yards rushing and six touchdowns in 2025 for the Bears. In 2024, the tailback rushed for 1,028 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging 5.9 yards a carry. Over the last two seasons, Washington also had 40 receptions for 310 yards and two scores. As a freshman in 2023, Washington had 45 yards on 10 carries.

The running back has already seen Texas A&M and is supposed to visit Auburn on Thursday. A trip to Wisconsin was called off after the Badgers landed Bryan Jackson.

Tennessee also had a visit scheduled earlier this week with Jacksonville State tailback Cam Cook, but Cook cancelled that visit and is heading to West Virginia.

Tennessee’s Peyton Lewis entered the transfer portal and signed with Virginia on Thursday. And the Vols lost Star Thomas, who exhausted his eligibility.

Tennessee has been a program under head coach Josh Heupel that, outside of the 2024 season, has split carries pretty evenly among their top 2 tailbacks.

I think I’d slightly prefer Washington, but either of these would be fantastic additions.
