2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

The Simpson news is likely fluid with an indeterminate timeline, just as it is with Joey. Would it not be a good idea to shake the Leavitt tree? It’s not a pivot if he has a no contact but reached out to them, is it?… so to recap, you don’t like having the #1 portal player visit, got it…
I don't mind him visiting, I just hope we dont offer him. I don't think he's worth what he's asking but that's beside the point. The biggest reason it doesn't make sense is that this is the kind of move you make of you're and upside QB away from being a playoff team.

And we ain't!

If we spend 3 or 4 million on Leavitt I will be done.
Hate to tell you this but id guess Simpson probably let them know hes going pro. With little to no clue on what's happening to Joey. That leaves you with little choice for huepel. You go get a scrub to have another scholarship qb and start George or you over pay for Leavitt. Do I like it... no. But I hate this whole portal thing. But I see the why it's happening.

I get it. But the games would be a lot more enjoyable with a talented QB rather than no QB and no Defense…. 😂The offense kept things interesting this year which is more than we expected out of Joey.. I could care less what someone else pays him…

Just got text that UT received confirmation from Trick's people that he is committed to TTU and not visiting. Also news broke that Gregory will arrive in Wisconsin tomorrow for visit. Sounds like TTU wasn't able to smooth things over with Gregory and Trick is firm at TTU
Any word on QB? Specifically what they’re feeling about Simpson and then the story behind Leavitt visiting?

Until football players are made school employees with multi year contracts that they have to either abide by or buy themselves out of using funds the school paid them, there’s nothing Washington can do. LSU tampered and won out. If you don’t have a team of behind the scenes folks whose job is to tamper throughout the season, you’re not playing to win.

I don't think LSU backed off 😂.
Multiple teams have backed off of him due to a combination of the money he's asking for and the injury he's coming back from.

That injury will keep him from using reps with his the this spring. That's one of the most important things for a transfer QB.

We'll (p4 teams) have to separate the football program from the university and make it it's own entity. . . maybe the entire AD.
