It's pure entitlement to think you should be able to spend someone else's money to escape a bit of disappointment in life. Also extremely weak-minded.

Lower your sodium intake and switch to decaf. You'll live longer and be more bearable to be around.

This. It’s only being “cheap” if you have the money and choose not to spend it. Clearly, we don’t have the funds/support that many other programs do, so we literally can’t afford to keep up. I don’t think that should necessarily make people feel better though.

It also shouldn't be a major surprise to anyone that Tennessee would never be the college program that has the most resources just based on some basic knowledge of location and alumni. I would say our boosters are lifting way over their weight and I for one appreciate all they do to make us competitive.

I will reserve my full judgement until after this portal cycle is completely over. I do gets bits of info from time to time. One thing I have heard is that we really just don’t do the pay for play thing. If a kid primarily has just money on his mind we aren’t in most cases gonna be the top bidder. Which is the DUMBEST thing ever. HELLO, the era we are in is PAY FOR PLAY. Don’t want to adapt? Then you get passed up. Here is what I will tell you. I would keep your eye on the recruitments of Chaz Coleman, Gilliam, and the kid from WF. If we don’t land 1-2 then that tells you all you need to know about where the program stands. But ole DW got up there and said we were at the top in terms of spending I think it was after Tony left when he had that presser. I can read right through that lol does he really think we are that dumb? But we are gonna bring Leavitt in for a visit… makes me so mad man. Again I will reserve my full judgement for after the cycle tho

I think some posters would rather have the bragging rights of out spending other schools for certain players than spending our money smart and getting the most good players that we can get and fielding the best team.
