2025/26 Transfer Portal Thread

Well Perlotte and Spillman are both going to be superstars and Telander could possibly be serviceable in certain situations so maybe we only need one.
That’s what I was thinking. We’ve had a coordinator in the past that would start certain LB’s depending on if we were playing a predominate run or pass team.Telamder wouldn’t be bad against a running team.I can’t remember who the coordinator was we’ve had so many.

Exactly, but TN is too cheap to pay anywhere close for top tier QB
do not need a top tier qb. Need one for the system and there are better options than the 6 million dollar man/men. Already been proven by quite a few teams and if we had any idea what defense was and a scared kicker, we are there.

I can help. Throw out the Out of conference, Kentucky Arkansas, Mississippi st, Florida because none of them were even close to good.

What did they do vs. Bama, UGA, Vandy, OU.? Under 30 in 3 out of 4.

A lot on here like the “#1 offense in the SEC” title but we were not the best offense in the SEC.
PPG and total YPG don’t always paint a complete picture. The turnovers the offense made this year always seemed to end in catastrophe. It wasn’t really the amount of turnovers, it was the high number of them that ended with defensive TD’s for the other teams. The Bama, OK, and Illinois losses come to mind.

I’m not doing that lol.

Indiana scored 38 vs Alabama.
Tennessee scored 20 against them.

Again AFTER UGA. We just stopped with the scripted play calling for the most part.

If we’re going to be vanilla and fast like Heupel likes then we need to be a lot more physical on both sides of the ball. Period.
Indiana has defensive stops against Alabama, I don’t think we stopped them many if at all

You know they gave Nico a ton of money, right?
The actual figure was close to 1.5 a year. At the time, it was the top of the market for an incoming Freshman. We are paying Brandon very well too. Both he and GMac will ask for a raise due to what’s happening right now. It’s gross, but it’s the current reality.

It’s possible Heupel learned his lesson investing a sh*t ton of NIL money into a QB.

It’s been shown that this offense can work with a serviceable QB without the insane price tag that comes with it.

Defense is where we need to be spending the money right now.
