Oh, that’s what i said? You get a qb with experience who provides leadership and depth, and would be good enough to run the offense (Gaston Moore to Nico). Not sure if you know this, but George will be a redshirt freshman and by September will have been in this offense for 20 months. Not sure if you know this either, but he was the same caliber qb Nico was, didn’t hear you belly aching then when he was due to get the start. Or maybe you did. Who cares

Which probably brings us to the larger, more troubling question: how are we going into year 6 with a portal shopping list that is roughly equal to half our starting lineup after 4 straight top-15 recruiting classes. That math ain't mathing. Poor evaluations, poor coaching, poor schemes...take your pick, but something isn't working.

Not exactly how I see it. We aren’t looking for much on offense. Looking for a RB and not a high level QB. Anyone at OL or WR would be for depth. RB would even split carries. Lost Sampson early to draft last year.

It’s all on defense. CB was the result of 2 season injuries, and one great transfer leaving early. Safety has been lack of recruiting and development. LB has recruited better but also lost one early to draft. DL has recruited pretty well, but experience is the issue. We held on to two super seniors this year that were good but not elite. It prevented two more spots for recruiting and development. Need some more developed transfers. Better defensive scheme will help some on this side as well.

I have read Houser the ECU QB would be a good fit. Plus wouldn't cost a arm and leg.

Most baffling to me is the DL. Garner is a legend, but his unit has underperformed this season. Really hope this is a one off for him.

This. A great defensive line magically makes your linebackers and secondary much better. Garner gets a pass because of his history but his unit was horrible this season. They got pushed around all season. They need massive improvement for us to compete. Biggest disappointment on the team this year in my opinion.

My point about Nico remains. Had one game against a bad Iowa team where he mostly ran and handed the ball off

I have read the Houser the ECU QB would be a good fit. Plus wouldn't cost a arm and leg.

He would be fine as well. I’m tired of seeing the top portal QB talk.

Just get someone with a brain and that can control a game. I don’t need an elite QB. I need someone like AJ McCarron or whoever that Bama QB was that was average at everything but controlled the game very very well.

Alabama and Georgia are what they are because practice is harder than 95% of their games. Thats what we need to build, practice all week long is harder than Saturday. Thats how you take belt to a$$.

I’ve said it before he’s a solid #1 RB and a great #2, just not dynamic enough.

Our staff needs to just go with the hot hand more at RB. Star Thomas was shredding Illinois, never should have come out the game after that besides for short breathers.
