I agree with the fact this team is built to fit the system and also thrive in it.
I could see five starters averaging dbl figures and multiple players off the bench contributing in a big role.
Right now, I do not see a hole in the frontcourt when there’s four players that have started for P5 teams over the span of 1-3 years.
The point and rebound production once the roster is finalized could be nearly identical to what UT forwards/posts have averaged in recent years.
The guard and wing play will be improved and possibly one of the best groups in the SEC.
The team is significantly more balanced than people are giving them credit for. Even though 6’2 and 6’4 should never be consider undersized in WBB, Lazaria Spearman and Alyssa Latham play much taller than their listed height. Take a look at their highlight blocks and you’ll see UT will have more rim protection than it has had in recent years.
TK was dominant when fully healthy, yet having multiple players such as Spearman, Latham, and Whitehorn with their LENGTH blocking shots is going to prove the myth of lacking size wrong.
You don’t need to be 6’5 to control the paint defensively. Look at Watkins for SC. Probably was SC best post defender along with 6’7 KC!
Yes, UT needs to add depth.
I’m sure that plan is in process. I’m not saying any one player is a need.
I am confident that any player(s) added by Coach Caldwell will bring something to the team as has every addition thus so far during the off-season.
