What I hope the players will enjoy is facing different set of challenges with a new coach. I know that Kellie put them through a lot of hard workouts -- at at least one point in the season some that were apparently pretty butal -- but it seems to me that having a team in tip-top condition is a major priority for Kim, and that's gonna be amazing for the team. Not gonna name names because it's not necessary, but I feel like at least a few of our players are going to feel amazing when they find out they had yet another higher gear they hadn't felt before.
The players may not always like Kim very much during the early weeks and months of intense workouts, but they'll very likely respect her. It's gonna get hard, but the payoff will be huge and they players will love her for it once they've survived it and grown and improved and won big games because of it.
That's the way it goes, ain't it? Sometimes you hate it when you're in it, and may even want to quit. But if you, as Pat was fond of saying, you "don't give in to fatigue," you'll be glad the rest of your life that you were strong enough to push through the hard stuff.
I genuinely excited for our players. They'll hopefully see some new drills, learn some new Kim-specfic jargon, new plays, new approaches... lots of good stuff.
