I know many of them LOVE Kellie but they’re also a competitive bunch who LOVE Tennessee as much or more and want to win. Maybe they know more than we do…

I'd say none of them are leaving. I'm beginning Wes Moore or Jeff Walz may get the job. Were not getting anyone to Monday it looks like that puts Moore still as an option. He has said in the past would retire at NC St but 2 million a year for five six years might change anyones mind. Walz will come for two million for six years. The deal coaches would be Oklahoma and Colorado coaches. The mid major girls would take less than Kellie was making cause it would still be three times what they are making now.

I think any of the remaining final four coaches are low probability. Can we all at least agree that Geno is off the table?

However, the wait till Monday could be taken as a sign. Yet, Dawn leaving the program she built and has incredible support at all levels does not make sense.

Gottleib seems a little more likely so but not much. Wes, late career, back at his wife's hometown, made his first final four (which means he is golden there until he retires) seems unlikely as well.

$ is not everything and its not like this set is exactly living hand to mouth.

I think the delay is that the announcement coming today would be blitzed over by the final four hype.

For that reason, I think mid next week is probably the earliest to let the dust clear from the men's final as well.

Yes and I will give Kellie the benefit of the doubt of likely having told them to be patient and give the process a chance before they make any snap decisions.

Just a guess, but there is no question she loves Tennessee, even if she’s likely very disillusioned at the moment.

Completely agree. I don’t think Kellie would ever be a burn it down on the way out. She is a good person.

And Staley could most certainly have interviewed this week. Final Four is busy but that also makes it easier to disguise an interview. Much easier for her to present like she has some other commitment for the FF when in relating she was spending half a day in Atlanta.

It’s a pipe dream but dreams really do come true sometimes. If her relationship with the AD is what people say it is she may be looking for somewhere she can command a little more respect.

IMO, SC has benefited the most from TNs decline in the past decade. And this isn’t to take away from what Dawn has done. She’s elite.

But from like 2015-2019, SC benefited from the LVs not having an elite coach. We literally had Diamond, Cedes, Jamie, Bashaara, etc. From 2017-19, we had the number one recruiting class. With elite coaching, we win at least two more SEC titles in that window, followed up with FF appearances. That matters in recruiting.

And Phil not getting the hire right in 2019 set the program back even more. Now we have SC and LSU.

Well I HEARD from a friend of a neighbor’s cousin’s, step daddy that she was going to wear a Tennessee jersey under all her outfits this weekend. When asked about next season she’s going to peel her shirt off to reveal the jersey.

Yes I’ve said the same. He has also tried to woo her back to Louisville since she left so very good chance he would keep Sam on staff if hired.

Who are you picking next year? Based on rosters we know that are returning and if (big "IF") all players are healthy, then SC and UConn are probably 1a and 1b for pre season rankings. I think UConn has more talent, but SC will have the benefit of an experienced core of players that competed in the NC game.

UConn will be up there but I’ll go with USC and UCLA.
