If this is true, then why is he visiting Tennessee later this week? That was just reported by Sean Sparks on Vol Vault. I believe we are in this to win it! It's time to get in the press and bring the defensive heat! Barnes is pretty good at bringing the heat!!!
Gotta be honest, if we lose Lanier to UK/Pope when they have an unproven head coach and we have been all in on Lanier and overconfident that he is ours, that’s going to be a real stinger.Ducking great. Go. Get. Cam Chrstie.
This is why you don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
I hope we pull it out.

I understand recruiting is different nowadays since some team can just come out with a huge NIL deal and sway a player, but I feel like we might get left at the altar with this one.
Either way, Barnes had recruited a great class from the portal and I’m confident in our team with or without Lanier. If Lanier doesn’t come, Barnes will fill that gap somewhere either with current players or someone else in the portal
Yeah that’s my mild concern, is that there seems to be no backup plan. Maybe there is no need for a backup plan, I mean right now he is only scheduled for a visit to Tennessee. So I guess we can worry when he schedules a visit to UK.I just hope we have a nice backup plan just in case.
Christie, Poplar, or best available I guess..

I absolutely want Lanier, but I felt we needed to land Igor & Felix more.
With Gainey, Mashack, Carr & Boswell I’m not as concerned at the 2 spot.
Lanier doesn't come then Mashack, Gainey, and Carr better be on the Knecht gym shooting regimen. One of those guys would have to pop off for at least 10-12 points per game.I absolutely want Lanier, but I felt we needed to land Igor & Felix more.

Unpopular opinion probably, but if I knew Christie was for sure dropping out of the draft, I'm not so certain I wouldn't prefer him over Lanier, to be honest.Coming from Brandon Ramsey on the KSR board. He received this text from someone who covers Tennessee.
“Hearing that Kentucky may have made Lanier & his family a NIL offer they can’t refuse”
If this is true, GO. GET. CAM. CHRISTIE
Feels like a middle of the pack SEC team without Lanier.I will be concerned if we don’t land Lanier because it seems like we built a large portion of our off-season plan around landing him. If we don’t get him, we’ll have a lot of question marks at the 2/3 from a production standpoint.
Everyone hopes that Cam Carr is the real deal, but that’s expecting way too much. I wouldn’t be all to thrilled if our primary scoring options at the 2/3 were the group you listed above. Highly doubt Boswell is going to be ready to contribute.
