Hope it’s true because he’s honestly my biggest want. He would immediately be our biggest offensive weapon.

Lanier has wanted to come here for a long time. We’ve had an ongoing relationship with him that goes back to his high school days. I’ve said a few times that I don’t think he’ll stay in the draft, I do think he’ll enter the portal sooner than people projected and I do think everything points to him coming here. I do not think Maryland or anyone else has an edge after the five years of relationship building we’ve done. That said, I’m sure people will tempt him. If we’re learning anything this cycle, it is that we are holding steady on communication, strategy and NIL. There are a lot of people waving shiny objects, but I think we’ll come out doing well. I have said from the beginning, Lanier is the first and most important piece in their eyes. That is still true.

Not trying to argue. I appreciate the info you bring. Just don’t understand how anyone is considered a lock if they feel the need to visit. Are Okpara or Lanier going to take additional visits?

Kids would still like to visit and enjoy being recruited by that school, staff also want to get a kid around the team and measure them in, etc.

Gotta think if Tyson waits around then we take Anderson this weekend after his visit. I think playing at a school his mom used to be at would be very cool for him, so if we want him I think he would be ours.

He’s likely gotta be ok with not playing at all this year, that can be a tough ask.
