2024 Presidential Race

The economy was actually humming along. I think most smart people realized riots by lazy and worthless leftists weren't really the fault of the potus. Many are still happening but have mysteriously vanished from the evening news.

Whose alliance did we lose and really care about?

Fact is there was nothing presented new by Dems. Had covid not hit there would have been a week attempt to buy bites from the poor but it wouldn't have worked

Dems beat him in the popular vote in 2016 and took the house, senate and White House in an absolute rout in 2020, you are nutz to think that big of a rout would've been flipped if not for Covid.

and what does it matter anyway? Trump sucked so bad, that's the biggest reason Covid hit us so hard. So he only has himself to blame

We don't elect based on the popular vote for a reason.

Trump shut down at least some travel early on and was demonized by the left. Biden called it xenophobic and Nancy was encouraging people too still gather in groups. Anyone claiming the high road is a liar

Outside of warp speed, his response to covid was terrible. It showed he was not a leader and had no plan. His tariff plans hurt the US. Heck one of them was Pelosi approved and he still claims it

Early covid response to warp speed - agree fully. Then again they all sucked on that. No one had a plan. Except to capitalize on a crisis.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I felt the tariffs were intended to say bring your jobs back in house or pay to bring the goods back. I was a victim of NAFTA that sent hundreds of thousands of textile job out of country, so.... But, if memory serves, it also encompassed other trade tariffs intended to level trade. Maybe that didn't go so well with the trade partners.

they didn't ask Biden that question cause he wasn't President... yet.
47 years in public office and nothing is ever his fault, Trump was around for 4 years and was blamed for everything. When you have the full support of the press on your side this is the kind of thing that gets pushed

He's been in govt for 50yrs. Surely he can answer with something. But he was allowed to hide away. Sadly they're still allowing the potus to hide from his country. It's cowardly

Yah, Trump half-assed it like he always does and we saw the results - pure destruction.

Excuse me if I don't praise him

Yet you voted for a guy who would have been worse in the same situation. There's evidence that's true using his own words. He then claimed to have a plan to fix everyone but when he got to the WH admitted that was a lie. You were duped

The destruction is in a state level. Look to that leadership to see who failed

Getting elected is the easy part.

doing the job is another story, he sucked and that's why he was impeached twice and voted out in a landslide

I've long groused about how job interviews have nothing to do with whether you can do a job. Nearly lost my mind on a hiring committee 10 years ago that wasn't going to give a call back to a guy with ASD for a data analyst job because as one person said, "He just didn't seem personable." Most of the questions asked had nothing to do with the thing we wanted to hire him for, which was the only thing he actually wanted to talk about. We should have fired the people asking the dumb questions.

Anyway, the way we choose the President takes all the other stupid ways we hire people and turns the knob up to 11. The skill sets of running vs. governing are almost diametrically opposed.

I guess thats a matter of opinion. I think the reality TV guy sucked. badly.

Idk how anyone can live through 2020 and think he did a good job, but hey, I'm glad were all alive still to have this convo. Live and learn from the mistakes... I hope ;)

Thankfully neither of his opponents were in office during 2020.

Amen 🙏

Human beings sure are fickle and flawed

If you think about it, it is really hard to be THAT bad. When Trump was elected my friends would say: "what's the worst that can happen"?

I thought Trump was a clown to begin with but even I didn't think we'd be looking at:

-a pandemic killing thousands of us a day,
-race riots
- two impeachments
-a crashed economy
-and republicans losing the house, senate and White House.

-
that's as bad as it gets. But hey- ya'll can nominate him in 2024 again if you want more of that fun ;)

Ahh NM.

Biden should thank Trump for the pandemic? wtffffff

Crashed economy, millions out of work, 500,000+ dead in less than a year. If that's a gift then hell, maybe not ask for anything for Christmas this year :)

And here is proof that single females have no business voting.

Its possible Biden wouldn't have gotten the nomination, I'll agree with that. People wanted experience after trump's lack of experience nearly destroyed our nation.

But I dont think 8 million voters would've just flipped to the republican candidate. sorry. It was a landslide
5% margin of victory is not a landslide...

Those shoving him forward knew that going in. Being in government 50 years and being in the condition he was and still is, is the reason why those questions were not asked then and wont be going forward. He's an empty suit.

LMFAO that comedy gold right there.

Non sequiturs seem to be your goto line.

As PJ said he wasnt impeached for sucking.

And no president has done the job after getting elected. Not sure why people want to make that just a Trump thing.
