Easy wins (4): Bowling Green, Ten Tech, Vandy, S Alabama
Probable wins (1): Pitt
Possible wins (3): Mizzou, SC, Kentucky
Probable losses (4): Bama, FL, GA, Ole Miss
That means if UT had an absolutely perfect, pie-in-the-sky, stunningly good season, where they won every single game against evenly-matched teams and avoided upsets to any “inferior” teams, you could see 8 wins.
Most likely, they’ll get the 4 easy wins and then split the 4 games between Pitt, Mizzou, SC and Kentucky and end up around 6 wins, which I think would be a pretty damn good start for Heupel.
Also, things could go really bad and you could lose all the evenly-matched games and end up with 4 wins. I still say, with the exodus of players that left a really bad 3-win team, youre looking at 5-6 wins at best.
