2020 SOTU Speech Thread

As one of our esteemed posters said. "If they need more evidence how can they vote to convict"? Or something to that affect.
Asked and already answered.
I believe the answer went something like this.
They didn't need more evidence for themselves. They had seen enough to conclude that Trump was guilty beyond reasonable doubt.
They wanted the additional evidence to make it more uncomfortable for the Trump leg humpers in the senate to remain complicit, they wanted the American public to see as much of the truth as possible, and they wanted it for the historical record.

It was stupid the first time you offered it as well.

And you have hammered this 15 times. You arent speaking to children. We get it. Dairy subsidies bad.

I feel like Mcdad and dont back them. Period. Free market would still provide their goods. Yep.

But it is complete and utter bullsheit for you to sit here and scream "SOCIALISM...LOOK GUYS SOCIALISM BY REPUBS !!!!" When EVERY single candidate from the ONLY other party Americans can choose from and have any chance at all of actually getting elected have gone so far left that normal folks who have voted Dem all their lives cannot even get behind the full blown communism they are selling. Trump is wrong too. None of it is socialism. None. It is communism. Socialism has the people controlling the goods factories assets etc. Nothing either party does proposes that. Communism says the state controls it all and doles it out as THEY see fit. The entire Dem party is running on communist ideas...they just will not call it that because we just got out of a cold war a generation ago that we fought for half a century against this same bad idea.

Let's look at all the communism proposed by every single Dimwit candidate:

Free college. .gov controls it
Free healthcare. .gov controls it.
Welfare for all/ UBI. .gov controls it.
Free childcare. .gov controls it.
Artificial wage inflation mandate. .gov.

See a pattern? Oh...and any 1 of these costs so many TRILLIONS of $ that it will completely bankrupt our country which is already spending waaaaay more than we should. 28 Billion is a drop in the bucket for our goverment. A rounding error. The Pentagon LOST about 10x that much under Obama. Lost it. Couldnt say where it went.

Keep up the bullsheit though septic. Absolutely nobody with a brain cares. I am for a 20% cut to ALL GOV PROGRAMS including the military...and my family is extremely over represented there. No sacred cows. The .gov should NEVER be able to go in the red in ANY fiscal year absent a World War when we have no choice. Cut it all. I pay hella taxes and am tired of it.

Crying about a dairy subsidy in the face of what the entire Dimwit party is running on is not a good look though. Point that finger and attitude on the Communists who deserve it. The ones who would bankrupt this country RIGHT NOW if they could get president and a majority in place to pass out all their "free sheit". Complaining about Republican spending in this day and time should have a mandatory disclaimer above the post to show you're not batsheit crazy :

I know the Communist alternative is 100x worse and proposes 100x the spending, BUT

Uh, wat?

Generally when I expound on something 15 times, it's not immediately misrepresented with condescension. I literally stated (more than once) that my point had nothing to do with subsidies (dairy?), it was the $28B bail out. Though..... the subsidies are BS as well, since you asked.

C'mon man.

So, I ran through fact check by the NY Times and CNN and it was pretty sad. They really didn't have much to complain about and you could tell they were trying real hard. The facts say that Trump is doing what he said and is pushing the US toward unprecedented success. As someone who can't stand the guy, and supported Gary Johnson last time, I'm finding it hard not to vote for him next time.

I agree. I was watching a fact check segment on CNN. On each point, the guy would say “true, but.....” Was pretty weak.

Equals our panties are still in a wad over 2016 so we will vote for removal with the exception of the Senator from Utah who can't believe he wasn't elected president and that is the reason he is voting for removal. This Tool wrote in his wife for President in 16. And if that's how he feels then he should vote that way. But no one not even the most cynical lib hack believes that he is voting to convict for any different reason than the Dems. Goodbye Mittens.

I refused to vote for him last time and have said all along I won't vote for him this time. I will admit I'm conflicted now and leaning toward voting for him.

Almost all "evidence" in the House inquiry was/is inadmissible. They literally ran with the equivalent of a school yard rumor with zero tangible evidence.

Where does a border wall fall on that spectrum? Unicorn fantasy or whatever arbitrary definition of 'critical' need rises up to forward the narrative?

'Critical' is a subjective term, I still need a flowchart.

Infrastructure necessary to secure the southern border. Significant ROI as it results in cost savings in personnel and equipment expenditures.

I have history on my side... you do not. Republicans have held this hope before and they are always wrong. Trump has engaged in too much race baiting, to be the one who finally breaks through with black voters.

Love how you believe you're the expert. I will keep it there.
