2020 SOTU Speech Thread

When nobody is willing to live in the rural communities because they can't stream the Andy Griffith Show or order parts for their tractors and watch YouTube videos to learn how to install them then the shelves will be bare.
So we have a bunch of farmers coming to the city because they can’t stream Andy Griffith or watch tractor repair videos, which in turn is going to empty all grocery stores. Well then, we need to subsidize tractor manufacturers because they’re in for a rude awaking if what you say is true.

The backbone of the internet is built along the government owned right-of-ways. They do in fact enable connecting everyone.

I think we'll need a chart from the socialism haters to know which parts of socialism are perfectly acceptable and encouraged and which ones we feel are going to rip apart the fabric of America.

I'm sure that tractor manufacturers are "subsidized" as you phrase it. They pay taxes as well and deserve to get something in return. When our trade negotiators push China to buy from the industry you'd call it a subsidy. I'd call it a stimulus and a sound investment of tax dollars. Productive jobs are created. Those jobs result in more revenue for the government through income taxes. That's how capitalism sustains itself. See how that works?

I don’t call it a subsidy, I call it welfare. When the govt picks winners and losers, it pulls productive money out of the private sector and sends it to the politically connected sector. What you describe is not capitalism, it’s mercantilism. Capitalism is simply the free exchange of goods and services, so no, I don’t see how that works.

I've already explained that to you. Stimulus for essential under served segments, investment in needed infrastructure, support for critical needs... good. Dividends to every able bodied citizen, elimination of student loans, throwing trillions in public funds at unicorn fantasies, creating government programs with no plan to sunset after the objective has been fulfilled, government owned and operated healthcare systems... bad.

There we go that’s what I was hoping for! 👍

Both were divisive in their actions.

And here's another one for you: I see NO value to the House now trying to hear from Bolton. First, he's going to say whatever he has to say in the book and media. Second, everyone knows EXACTLY what he is going to say: Trump withheld the aid to get a political favor, Bolton was appalled, told Trump not to do it, but Trump didit anyway.

Why? It's the truth. Everyone knows it. Some people care, some don't. That's all.

Where does a border wall fall on that spectrum? Unicorn fantasy or whatever arbitrary definition of 'critical' need rises up to forward the narrative?

'Critical' is a subjective term, I still need a flowchart.

That’s subsidized for many too. At least I get to benefit from some of my tax dollars at the grocery store.
But serious question here, is your benefit from taxpayer's wallets true conservatism?

What's in a book is not testimony. If Dems really wants the facts then they should bring him in. If they rely on his book as "the truth" then they simply do not care about the truth.

Hyperbole.

Senate does not want to hear from witnesses or see documents directly on the issue at hand. The Dems implore them to do so, and the GOP votes to stay ignorant of additional facts. So you claim the Dems are the ones not seeking factual truth.

Tell me .....

Neither side wants the truth out there. They only want the parts that help them.

Witness Schiff's "indignation" when asked about Misko and Ciaramella.

If this scandal was as big as Dems portrayed it there would be an abundance of facts bursting from the woodwork.

As one of our esteemed posters said. "If they need more evidence how can they vote to convict"? Or something to that affect.

It was a fool's errand in that Trump and Mnuchin confessed and it did not sway them anyway. And the funny thing is that, despite the confessions, Trump still denies it. Remarkable.

And you have hammered this 15 times. You arent speaking to children. We get it. Dairy subsidies bad.

I feel like Mcdad and dont back them. Period. Free market would still provide their goods. Yep.

But it is complete and utter bullsheit for you to sit here and scream "SOCIALISM...LOOK GUYS SOCIALISM BY REPUBS !!!!" When EVERY single candidate from the ONLY other party Americans can choose from and have any chance at all of actually getting elected have gone so far left that normal folks who have voted Dem all their lives cannot even get behind the full blown communism they are selling. Trump is wrong too. None of it is socialism. None. It is communism. Socialism has the people controlling the goods factories assets etc. Nothing either party does proposes that. Communism says the state controls it all and doles it out as THEY see fit. The entire Dem party is running on communist ideas...they just will not call it that because we just got out of a cold war a generation ago that we fought for half a century against this same bad idea.

Let's look at all the communism proposed by every single Dimwit candidate:

Free college. .gov controls it
Free healthcare. .gov controls it.
Welfare for all/ UBI. .gov controls it.
Free childcare. .gov controls it.
Artificial wage inflation mandate. .gov.

See a pattern? Oh...and any 1 of these costs so many TRILLIONS of $ that it will completely bankrupt our country which is already spending waaaaay more than we should. 28 Billion is a drop in the bucket for our goverment. A rounding error. The Pentagon LOST about 10x that much under Obama. Lost it. Couldnt say where it went.

Keep up the bullsheit though septic. Absolutely nobody with a brain cares. I am for a 20% cut to ALL GOV PROGRAMS including the military...and my family is extremely over represented there. No sacred cows. The .gov should NEVER be able to go in the red in ANY fiscal year absent a World War when we have no choice. Cut it all. I pay hella taxes and am tired of it.

Crying about a dairy subsidy in the face of what the entire Dimwit party is running on is not a good look though. Point that finger and attitude on the Communists who deserve it. The ones who would bankrupt this country RIGHT NOW if they could get president and a majority in place to pass out all their "free sheit". Complaining about Republican spending in this day and time should have a mandatory disclaimer above the post to show you're not batsheit crazy :

I know the Communist alternative is 100x worse and proposes 100x the spending, BUT
