BREAKING: Chris Matthews announces his resignation live on MSNBC after allegations he made sleazy remarks

He went on to cite his inappropriate comments about women as the catalyst for his departure.
'Compliments on a woman's appearance some men, including me, might have once incorrectly thought were okay were never okay. Certainly not today. For making such comments in the past, I'm sorry.'

Matthews said he remained proud of the work he's done on Hardball, which he started back in 1997.

The decision came days after freelance journalist Laura Bassett published an article in GQ accusing Matthews of being 'gross and inappropriate' with her before she appeared on his show.

'In 2016, right before I had to go on his show and talk about sexual-assault allegations against Donald Trump, Matthews looked over at me in the makeup chair next to him and said: 'Why haven't I fallen in love with you yet?"' Bassett wrote in her first-person account published Friday.

'When I laughed nervously and said nothing, he followed up to the makeup artist. "Keep putting makeup on her, I'll fall in love with her."'

So now this broad comes out with this. My guess is well find out she's a Sanders or Warren supporter. Political correctness strikes again.

Brain Freeze: Joe Biden Urges Voters to Show Up on ‘Super Thursday’

Former Vice President Joe Biden on Monday urged voters in Texas to show up big for him on “Super Thursday,” the latest in a series of rhetorical stumbles as his campaign roars back to life.

“Look. Tomorrow’s Super Thursday,” he said, before correcting himself. “…Tuesday,” he continued as the crowd chuckled.

They are laughing at him in the background. Is this a Saturday Night Live skit?

Sanders: ‘The Political Establishment Is Coming Together’ Against Me

While speaking to reporters on Monday, 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) stated that he isn’t surprised that “The political establishment is coming together.” Because it isn’t a secret “that there is a massive effort trying to stop Bernie Sanders.”

Sanders responded to reports that former 2020 candidate South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s motivation for leaving the race was to stop Sanders by sarcastically saying, “I am shocked by that.”

He added, “Look, it is no secret, I mean, the Washington Post has 16 articles a day on this, that there is a massive effort trying to stop Bernie Sanders. That’s not a secret to anybody in this room. The corporate establishment is coming together. The political establishment is coming together. And they will do everything. They are really getting nervous that working people are standing up. And by the way, when we talk about South Carolina, and when we talk about other states, we are winning working class voters by big numbers. So, they’re nervous that working class people are standing up for decent wages. They’re nervous that we are prepared to take on the fossil fuel industry to try to save this planet. They’re nervous that more and more Americans understand that health care is a human right, not a privilege. So, it doesn’t surprise me, alright? I started by talking about a super PAC that is spending millions of dollars today. So, why would I be surprised that establishment politicians are coming together?”

It's true, so obviously Bernie should run for president as an independent - or start his own party

He believes his ideas are the most popular in the field, so I wonder why he isn’t running in the Democratic Socialist Party.

Surely with ideas so popular they must have a vast national party with lots of representatives and senators and governors. My internet must be establishmentarian though, because I can’t find even one.

Bernie Bro’s are going full meltdown. They are saying that if Biden gets the nomination they will not vote for him because “he’s a Republican.”

Normally, the remedy would likely be to make Bernie the VP, but the age issue is already a problem for Biden.

Bernie wouldn't accept out of principle, misguided or otherwise; if Bernie does not get the nomination, both he and his supporters will be convinced that 2020 was stolen from them in a worse fashion than 2016. I can absolutely see Bernie refuse to capitulate and, more than just avoid endorsing the DNC nominee like he did Clinton four years ago, keep up the momentum as an independent. If he believes that he was severely slighted and that Biden isn't going to win anyway, the best way to force the Democratic Party to radicalize would be to fracture it beyond repair.

Loudervol said that yesterday. I think it's just social media amplification. You would think they would have learned their lesson from 2016.

I think it's always great when this stuff comes back to bite the libs. With the way the swamp right likes to start threads I'm surprised he hasn't started one about this yet

Smh they never learn. But that what I kind of expect one one of their leaders are Shaun King the fake black guy. They are really losing their minds on Twitter when a Pro Bernie poll that was released showed Biden sweeping the South and winning Texas by 2.

What the Bernie Bros should focus on is how far left you can move the party and still win a national election.
If, even after 2016, they still feel that sitting it out is the best response, I've got nothing for them.
