2020 Primaries

Disprove my post about the difference in cost and wages over time and I will.
Anything the government touches makes that thing more expensive. It happened to education. It happened to healthcare, and so on. In the last 40 years, medical costs have risen at twice the rate of the consumer price index, and college has risen 4 times the consumer price index.

You won the lottery by simply being born in this country. Now go make something out of yourself or you could keep blaming other people for your failings.

Keep calling hard working people failures and end up in revolution.

I am proud to have been born in this country. It is a great country.

I am also 100% sure that economic conditions were better in the 1960s then they are now. And I doubt there is an economist who would dispute that.

2020 Bernie supporters= I want everyone else to pay for my stuff.
Name us one Socialist/Communist society that lasted.

One society that has free college and free healthcare? I can name several.

You equating Democratic Socialism/social democracy to communism is just wrong.

I'm not ignoring posts, I have 6 of you replying. Not going to reply to each of you.

You shouldn't have to join the military in order to get an education. The way I see it everyone should be under the SSA men and women. Everyone should have college paid for if they want it.

Do I think there should be more benefits for military families though? Yes. My family is 3rd gen military. Also thank you for your service.

And the military portion of your family are Bernie supporters?

Ok so let's do some comparison here.

3.35$ in 1986 is equal to 7.90 today.

Roughly equivalent what I made for my first few jobs: $8.00

College costs today are 129% of what they were in 1988.

Therefore despite making the same and adjusting for base inflation:

A person today has to work roughly twice as hard in order to afford what you could back then. And that's not even factoring healthcare and rental costs which would make that comparison worse.

@ $3.35 an hour there was no way I could have afforded to pay rent, tuition and healthcare in 1986.

Yet, the average size house has doubled in size, and the family has shrunk.

You don't need private health care though, you need health care.

Why do we pay 2x per person with our private system than other nations and still not cover everyone? Still haven't gotten an answer on that.
Imagine a 22 yr old grad student with no family and no job and no life experience trying to tell normal Americans what they need and don’t need. 😂

College facilities have gone from sparse to luxurious between the 70s and today, a point my father reminded me of constantly.

Community college would be the better comparison if you want a closer apples to apples comparison.

You trying to spin it otherwise is just wrong Bern knows that if he calls it what it is communism even misguided millennials and gen z, would not stand for that

No everyone shouldn’t get free college. If you want free college tell the universities to offer it for free. The very people that have fed you your bs are the ones making upper 6 figures if not 7 that in part are driving the costs up. Like you they have little to no real life experiences outside of academia. Since you’re an advocate of wage limits be sure to go tell them that If they take a pay cut it would help you guys out a lot. I mean they make too much as it is.

No one is calling them failures. Just pointing out that if you are a grown adult making minimum wage then you have made some pretty bad decisions in life that led you to that point. And it should be your responsibility to get yourself out of the mess that you created for yourself.

Define communism please because you couldn't and if it did, it wouldn't be close to Bernie's platform.

Please share with me the profile of an able bodied man who has made minimum wage for two years and I will provide some constructive criticism.

See the issue right now is we are already rationing care. There is about 25% who already wouldn't get care because they'd go bankrupt either because they are uninsured or poorly insured.

And we already have hospitals going bankrupt.

Wait times might be evident in the first few years as those rush in who haven't been able to afford it, but with better preventative care that other nations have, we have less problems down the road.
Rural hospitals that have went bankrupt are due to governmental regulations
