The only silent group in the current social media tribal dynamic are moderates and Trump is not winning them with his current sloppy appeals to his base.

That he needs to change course now is something everyone, even the White House, agrees upon.

Who said it, Trump or Biden? Could have been 20 years ago, so be thoughtful in your guess.

I will make liberal use of my constitutional authority to veto:

  • every appropriations bill for which there is no constitutional authority.
  • every spending bill or budget that authorizes increased spending or additional borrowing.
  • every bill that lumps unrelated proposals together.
  • every bill so lengthy or “urgent” that members of Congress didn’t have time to read it before voting.

There are some parallels with Carter. Those “outsiders” find out real fast that there’s an imbedded ruling class that they have to work with whether they like it or not.

Possibly, but Trump has always been his own worst enemy. His Presidency has been like the one in Southpark were Mr.Garrison won somehow and basically does everything he can to not be President. If Trump stopped tweeting, stfu and listened to advisers (for the most part), it would have been smooth sailing for him.

Parscale has never run a political campaign. And thinking inside Trump land is that they can run the campaign as they did in 2016 as a big pirate ship where they just plug and play people into positions and Trump fly around can just be Trump. And its harder to create narratives when the opponent doesn't have the last name, Clinton.

"The federal government will stop providing money and support for 13 sites across five states which were originally set up in the first months of the pandemic to speed up testing at the local level.

Local officials and public health experts expressed a mixture of frustration, resignation, and horror at the decision to let federal support lapse.

Texas will be particularly hard hit by the decision. The federal government gives much-needed testing kits and laboratory access to seven testing sites around Texas. But in the state, which is seeing new peaks in cases, people still face long lines for testing that continues to fail to meet overwhelming demand.

In Dallas County, Texas, the federal government will end support on June 30 for two testing sites it has been supporting since March, Rocky Vaz, the director of emergency management for the city of Dallas, confirmed to TPM.

“Cases are continuing to rise in Dallas County, and we want to continue with the testing,” Vaz said.
