2020 Presidential Race

He'll be shunned by the Democrats for appearing on Fox.

Prior to it there may have been some who were in the Warren camp on this. But given his resounding success, I'd say his choice to go on Fox is catapulting him to top 5 status.

At this point the nomination is Biden's to lose. He's a reassuring figure and the party will have no problem rallying around him to beat Trump. I still say his VP pick is Harris. Rounds out the age gap issue and will promote turnout by black voters and women. Also gives an edge in the Midwest.

Other than far west fly overs and the Deep South Biden ought to start from between 5 and 15 points up across the board. A popular and electoral landslide very much in play. Would be good to reunite the country.

Tonight is the first time in years I've watched a Fox News program from beginning to end. Mayor Pete absolutely knocked it out of the park. He's articulate, educated, honest, composed, and direct; even the Fox News crowd gave him a standing ovation at the end, much to the surprise of Chris Wallace (a great moderator, btw). He discusses solid center-Left policy proposals. He's a Millennial vet from the Rust Belt. Unlike other Democrats, he actually went in the viper's nest of Fox News and called out the blowhard idiots on the network. And he is a Game of Thrones nerd.

Solid quote on Trump: "The Tweets are, I don't care... We need to make sure that we're changing the channel from this show that he's created. Because what matters, and I get it, look it's mesmerizing, it's hard for anybody to look away, me too. It is the nature of grotesque things that you can't look away."

Bret Hume responding to Trump whining and being his normal triggered snowflake self over Pete being on Fox News: "Say this for Buttigieg. He’s willing to be questioned by Chris Wallace, something you’ve barely done since you’ve been president," Hume tweeted, quoting Trump's initial criticism."

Give the town hall a watch. A lot of people are underestimating him. It might not happen in 2020, but he is the future of the progressive movement.

Lol. First they were in NH so obviously he’s gonna get a standing ovation. Him calling out a couple FOX News hosts was funny actually when you consider they have 2 of the highest rated shows on TV. At least FOX is attempting to give the dims another platform to spew their rhetoric.

Buttigieg is trash. Pushing reparations for blacks, elimination of the electoral college, typical left views on abortion, which by todays standard probably means he also supports 3rd trimester killings. Oh and dont forget, according to him america was never great. He has Zero chance. Thank god..

Let the record reflect just a few of your most recent landslide predictions.

Circa Fall 2016

Let's say one third of them do. Add that to an enormous margin for Clinton amongst Hispanic voters, black voters, and even a small advantage with women, and it's a landslide for her.

This one is my personal favorites because not only did you pedict the Hillary landslide, but you went on to predict that Trump supporters would blame his loss on fraud and a stolen election.

Of course we now know that Hillary lost. And you guys are still chasing down Russian memes. 🤣🤣🤣

Doesn't matter. Now that the alt right loons see the writing on the wall, and that it's going to be a Clinton landslide, and that the mainstream of the party has given up on Trump, the mantra now will be that it was stolen by illegal Mexicans, black voter fraud, and the media.

You got me.

I completely underestimated the Russians in '16.

My bad.

-He said he would sign a bill to study reparations. That doesn't mean he supports reparations. Pete on reparations: "I've never seen a specific, workable proposal. But what I do think is convincing is the idea that we have to be intentional about addressing or reversing harms and inequities that didn't just happen on their own. The cleanest way I can think of to do it are through policies. So we know in housing and criminal justice, to some extent in basic economic policies around wages and taxation, that some policy improvements that are also the right thing to do will have a disproportionate benefit to people of color. I think that's one way that we can be intentional and make a difference on this. I've just not seen a cash transfer mechanism that’s been laid out that you can envision working that most people would think is fair."
-Correct, he supports abolishing the electoral college.
-He does not support 3rd trimester abortions. He does not support abortion anyways. He supports a woman's right to control her own body.
-He has never once said America was never great. You are completely making that up. Why would he join the military and serve in Afghanistan if he thought America was not great?

I guess everyone has moved on from Beto. He was the shiny toy for a few minutes but seems to have been passed over.

What happened there?

Reparations doesnt even deserve research. Its idiotic.
You can call abortion "a womans right to her own body" if it makes you feel better, its still abortion.
He said america was never as great as advertised or something along those lines. When i heard the clip i instantly laughed at how dumb he is. Way to shoot yourself in the foot there pete.
As i said, ZERO chance.

Why would he sign a bill to study reparations if he doesn’t support it? What policies will he institute to help people of color? Affirmative action? Institute racial quotas? Lower standards to push those quotas? Give away free sh**? Same old bs song and dance.

See, there you go getting into the specifics, the facts, actual comments and the like. Folks here cannot process that level of fact. They rely on Facebook memes to get their news.

Don't forget stacking the Supreme Court and raising taxes.
Yep, he wants to raise taxes on the wealthy and corporations. Not on the middle class.

Republicans already stacked SCOTUS by refusing to consider Obama's nominee, Garland. Pete's views on the Supreme Court are a bit more nuanced than just stacking the court. He likes the idea of expanding the court to 15 justices: five justices are appointed by Democratic presidents, five are appointed by Republican presidents, and then those 10 justices must unanimously agree on appointing the five additional justices, who would come from the appellate bench.

From the 9th circuit? Lol hell no.

I would say Bernie Sanders is main figure in the Far Left movement. I do like who he is as a person, but I think he's promising way too much that he can't possibly do. I don't think all progressives are nut-jobs either. I am extremely opposed to the dehumanization caused by the Fringes. No matter what side you're on, dehumanization of the other side gets people killed. Both the Far Right and Far Left do this to all the others on the other side.

Kamala never directly said police state, but she wants to 1) Basically Ban all Firearms, 2) Put in censoring laws, 3) expand the federal government including law enforcement. I am sorry, but those 3 things scare me as a citizen.

Studying an issue doesn't imply support. It means he wants more facts and research, what is wrong with that? It is far better to study an issue, gather the facts, and then make a decision, as opposed to Tweeting out some random thought you have on the toilet at 4 in the morning.

Tax increases always make it down to the middle class. Look at NYC for proof. Throwing money into Black Communities without any direction has always failed. There is a reason why Black men average at 32k and Black women average at 38k while every other minority is way above that.
