2020 Presidential Race

No president is universally liked but that is not what we're talking about with Trump. His use of Twitter has been publicly antagonistic and combative. It reveals a petty and vindictive person who has used his platform to air personal grievances and to settle scores. His personality and behavior are an issue of his presidency because he has made them so front and center. His unwillingness to ever take the high road in a dispute or to stay above the fray in a partisan fight in a more statesmanlike or dignified manner is relevant to his job performance. That is very much unlike any president we have had before. He doesn't respect the office... and therefore, his critics don't respect him.
So when Obama said "Elections have consequences" that wasn't meant to be divisive? I agree Trump is very antagonistic, but let's not pretend he's the first. That's just not true. And combative? He's been attacked since he won the election, his Presidency challenged constantly, of course he's combative. Trump is a troll of a person. He's morally bankrupt. But that's not a new thing in politics. Acting like it is is ridiculous. He really is SSDD.

Funny that you think liberals are immediately to blame for everything. But Trump is golden and all good.

I tend to blame the Neoliberals and the Neoconservatives for everything. The problem I have is words such as fascist, racist, and nazi get thrown around soo much that it ruins the meaning of all of those words. It creates a huge rift that leads one side to dehumanize the other side.

If you are throwing words like that around, you should have some very strong empirical evidence and a great argument.

I don't think liberals are to blame for everything, but they are the ones taking to the streets to express their outrage over just about everything. So it makes sense if violence in the streets erupt, they'll be in the center of it. Logic and reason.

I've never said Trump is golden and all good, just that the outpouring of rage is disproportional to what he's actually done. It's one thing to not like him, but you paint him as the anti-Christ. You go beyond logic and reason.

Last nights debate really solidified the democrats as the anti American and Pro crime party. Let's see if they can have a "hold my zima" moment during the next debate.
Folks can absolutely kiss my azz if they think I'm paying one damn dime for reparations.
Just identify as black and file a claim. Easy $.

Bernie, Warren, Pete, and Amy would easily challenge Trump.

I disagree fully. Bernie has the same four talking points of which he is entirely ignorant about.

Warren was just laughed at by a crowd of "progressives"

Pete has zero black vote and would be torched.

Amy has zero shot. stop it

There was also
No, I'm sick of this "Trump's all talk narrative" that people keep pushing. Earlier this year his AG said he wouldn't rule out arresting journalists that disagree with him. This is also the same AG that is okay with back doors to everyone's cell phone. He's already said he will stay in power beyond the limit allowed him. Just a joke, haha. It isn't a joke. Dangerous times we live in.

There was also “talk” of Obama doing the same thing, plans to somehow usurp the laws of the land and stay in office longer. Didn’t come to pass. Neither will this.

I honestly don't remember a time in politics when a group of people have so mindlessly raged over a President. They tend to not point out any policy he has enacted that is somehow destroying our nation. Instead, they rage about what a despicable person he is. And I don't disagree with that, but what does it have to do with him doing the job?
What has he actually DONE? Other than crawl inside your head and make you crazy? Certain posters I expect to abandon logic and reason, but I thought you were better than that.
Logic and reason and exactly what drives people away from Trump.
Certain posters continually claim Trump is more of the same, the norm. Now that is a stance void of logic and reason.

And they are working those jobs that are low paying, with no benefits, and no hope of moving up. Republican wet dream.

Zep, I don’t know what to tell you but with baby boomers retiring on mass and companies expanding there are enormous opportunities out there today, more today than there were a decade ago. Maybe it’s a case of your friends expecting more from an entry level position and not wanting to work up from there?

Anecdotal for both of us, but I find the direct opposite to be true for a lot of my friends.
This is garbage. I'm 31. Plenty of jobs out there. 2010, when I graduated college, there werent any of these jobs available. No one was hiring. If your friends cant find a job or move up, they need some self reflection incorporated into their day.

I realized last night for what little I could watch, that Trump is Rodney Dangerfield as Thornton Mellon, he literally could be the character, and everyone of those people on that stage were Professor Barbay, sorry esteemed Dr. Barbay.

Maybe it’s just the way I think ( logically ) but it seemed to me the ones that were making the most logical statements last night were the 2nd and 3rd tier people that nobody knows or don’t have a snowballs chance in Hades of winning the nomination . Except the psychic chick on the end , she’s just nutty . I can say that even she has enough sense to warn the Dems they better get their stuff together or Trump will win again . Decriminalizing crossing the boarder without permission and offering healthcare for all to everyone in this country is an economic disaster in the making . This isn’t rocket science .

So sad to see this feller crash and burn in such dramatic fashion...but ya lie to the American people for 2 yrs, create angst and fear in the mentally ill, exacerbate TDS to the extreme, and then get exposed as a liar, fraud, and charlatan, I guess it's to be expected.

Ooh ooh cable TV ratings . . . Wait, can someone tell me what year it is. I don't know anyone who watches cable TV, but I'm not ready for adult diapers and it is 2019 in my timeline.

If you haven't made it to 2019 yet, you are in for a treat. Video games are mindblowing and you don't have to waste your time wondering if Hannity is full of it. [Spoiler: he is.]

Facts are just right there on internet if you know how to look for them.

While I will agree with some of your points about cable news and the answers being on the internet I can say that the young people ( our kids ) in my experience , can’t be bothered with looking up facts when it comes to politics . I’ve found that they go on word of mouth , either through peers or professors with the occasional big flashy headline they stumble across if they are still long enough to see one on tv . Propaganda is extremely effective on them because they don’t seem to have the time to find out if it’s true or not .

Reparations are pandering political theatre or the Democrat proponents are idiots, or both.
Who's going to bear the burden of paying for it? When you look loosely at reparations you'll see why it will never fly and would get legally picked apart.

If they tax everybody across the board for it the blacks are in part paying their own reparations and other nationalities who arrived after the end of slavery are unfairly penalized by that taxation.

If they exclude blacks from that taxation not only is that racist but you've excluded and ultimately rewarded a segment of actual black slave owners while still penalizing later arriving nationalities.

If they strictly adhere to one being ADOS they would need to do extensive genealogy research to prove that those slaves were in fact purchased and held by only non black slave owners from time of arrival.

If a female black slave had children from a white slave owner would that exclude that particular ancestral line due to being part white? If not, are they really going to fall back to the nastiness of blood fractions?

It's absolutely absurd.

Edit: typo, damn you auto-correct...

Trump is the result of a changing world which many cannot abide.
So you will force your version down our throats. Oh thank you ever so much oh wise one. How can we ever repay you? More taxes? Sure... just come and take them. We didn't earn them anyway.

You are not so much a hack as just an all out ass.
