2020 Presidential Race

The young people I know are enjoying the employment opportunities they have with this economy. I don’t think they’re as pissed as you think.
The vast majority of the young people I know aren't so much pissed as just plain embarrassed and amazed.

I don’t know what your friends majored in but damn near everyone is hiring.
My daughter, and all of her friends were hired instantly to great jobs, and they all hate Trump. They know they can take care of themselves regardless, it's the larger world they are concerned with.

And therein lies the biggest difference between Trumpers and many anti-Trumpers.

When you say "larger world" what do they mean? Climate and Intl relations?

Trump could walk on a stage, take a dump, and leave and you'd think it was the best thing ever in the history of ever.
Everyone acts like Trump won by a landslide. He won by a razor thin margin in Midwest states that don't usually go for Republicans against a maligned candidate that faced decades of attacks to disparage her name. His approval rating has never seen north of 50 and he is absolutely despised by Democrats. Keep telling yourself this will be an easy win for Donald, tell your friends too. Because it won't be. Most of us are prepared to vote for a stop sign before we would ever vote for Trump. There is a good field of Dems running this time. If that idiot thinks he is going to walk in to a second term no problem he has another thing coming.

This is actually a very bad field...

Not at all. Have I introduced you to Pete?

Here's a quick synopsis of the top 5:

1) A former vice president who wrote the 1994 crime bill
2) A senator from Vermont who has led a total of 7 bills that passed
3) A senator from Massachusetts who lied about her heritage to get perks
4) A senator from California who has a very tough on crime record.
5) A mayor from a medium sized town that is propped up by a massive university.

Am I missing anything?

People less fortunate, climate, environment, education, health care etc......

Things government have gotten worse since government has gotten a hold of them for 300?

All five look vastly superior to Trump.

Yes it’s easy to pretend to care about the “larger world” when you don’t live in it.

It's an undefinable term. What is a larger world and how do you care for it? What are the best ideas to make the planet a better place?
