Jalen Hurts is just an athlete and a below average QB. Georgia would not release Eason to play with another SEC school according to many who have posted on Volnation.

I'll let CTH and CJP decide who's our QB. They'll know far more about it and will have a better view of all our QB talent come this September.

That’s not remotely true. They both have nfl type arm strength, very little difference between the two. Arm strength for either is not the problem....it’s the other intangibles.

JG will be the starter until he graduates imo. So I would say he is. We haven't recruited the guy who will take over when he leaves yet. We will recruit over Shrout and Harris next class. Neither of them ever start a game most likely.

Doesn't matter about next year. We will likely rotate QB's. There is a definitively better QB on our roster right now. Everyone is pretty equal to each their own. Pretty much grooming JT next year for 2019. Kid can sling the ball and that's what is needed in Helton's offense. We saw that at WKU and at USC.

I predict if JG starts he wont make it a year without injury. Holds the ball to long. Will get sacked and or hit about every time he gets in the pocket. they will need to throw quick passes to RB's or screens to wr's.

You may be right but he hasn't been able to transfer the arm strength to his play on the field/productivity. Which is why i doubt that his arm strength. this wasn't a personal attack on Dormady just an evaluation of his lack of productivity. Sorry to confuse the 2.

JG and Dormady both sling it as well or better.

Both received more praise from professionals and camped better than Shrout. But you think he starts by 2019 because of one good camp?

JG and even Dormady had better stats vs college teams than Shrout had vs HS teams. HS stats arent even close.

He started one year in HS.


So qb with less experience, and less praise than who we have now is going to start over them?

A player with high school stats worse than the ones that got Dormady benched is going to be a starter?

He is a good prospect. But if he starts its after JG graduates and we miss on all the 4 and 5 star and we are recruiting. He is years away from being a contributer.

Shrout actually has had greater reviews and scouting reports from Current and Former NFL Coaches, Former and Current College Coaches, and current QB coaches who have built businesses working with Elite QB's.

JG and QD do no fit the offense or playbook that Helton runs. Just like his playbook at WKU and USC, that offense is predicated on being able to sling the ball. QD has 1 year left and JG is not a pure pocket passer.

Helton specifically zeroed in on this kid because he has tons of upside and a big arm.

Also, QD got benched because he playing with a maimed shoulder.

No need to lay it out to you when I could just call you a racist because you attacked Shrout. See how easy that is? Now I know why you cry racism every time someone disagrees with you

Should've got Messiah DeWeaver from Mich State, but he is headed to Last Chance U. Dormady will be out since he can't compete in spring ball. McBride transfers. Depth chart will be JG, Wilton Speight, Shrout, Bart Harris. Book it.

Shrout had one good camp. JG and Dormady had multiple strong camps. JG was an Elite 11 qb.

Both got a ton more professional praise than the guys talking about Shrout's one camp. You are just lying if you want to act like a 1000 something ranked qb got more praise than a top 75 and top 250 qb.

They both have elite arm strength.

Dormady got benched for poor play. Shrout has worse numbers than Dormady was benched for.

I haven't attacked Shrout. He most likely won't start over who we have though.

And I guess you don't think we can recruit a 4/5 star qb. We will and he will pass up Shrout.

They got him because he was one of the only qbs they could with potential. He was someone flippable late.

He does have potential. He won't start anytime soon.

Another gem. But he has a lower ypa as a Sr than JG as a Fr.

Never completed as high a percentage of his passes as JG either.

But he is better?

I agree KB. Generally with a change of regime if a senior/junior youngster is not head and shoulders better than a sophomore/freshman underneath them you start the younger player. I also see QD transferring either because he sees the writing ion the wall or CJP grabs him by the scruff of the neck and points to the writing on the wall for him to read. That's not saying QD is a poor player or QB, IMO Pruitt is not going to put time into a guy for one year when kids coming back can use that experience.
