Yeah, they were both interviewed together on ESPN after he was drafted and they were both as happy as could be.

The Hornets were absolutely going to take him until Monk fell to them.

He made a comment during the draft process that had Hornets fans all-in on him. Something like, “I’m going to come in and play beside Kemba. And if they think they can rough him up then I’ll get em back for him so he can go get buckets.”

I’m not ready to give up on Monk by any stretch but it does hurt that we missed out.

I have no clue why the Pistons picked Kennard over him though. Lol.

Great trade for the 76ers. He is the perfect 3 and D guy to play G next to Simmons and has lots of upside....and they got a future first rounder

I wouldnt sign him unless he passes a physical first -- back injuries and basketball are a bad combo to begin with
