2018 Midterm Election Thread

Didn’t you just answer your own question ? You ever live in Cali ? It’s different in every way from Tennessee . But don’t just let Tennessee be the example , Cali is different from every state . Like I said it has a bubble over it .
Cali is less one party rule than multiple red states.....start with Oklahoma and work you way around.

Can't argue with that. Straight down from the Dakotas and then hang a right at Texas over to South Carolina and it's been sold red for 20 years.

Because they are trained in group think and nationalism. Also there are differences already embedded in the 18 year old senior who chooses the military over a university.
Don't worry though, they will die for your right to be an ass.

It teaches obedience to authoritarian rule and discourages independent thought.
What military is this? There are some basics that are drilled into soldiers so that when shtf they continue to perform. But many units are taught to think for themselves within the context of their objective. Rangers are basically trained to perform any job in the unit, and act independently if needed.

I don’t believe you.
That's because you are clueless.
I'm thinking it is you that does not hold all public service and sacrifice for the common good in the same high regard with which you do the military. My respect and admiration is consistent.

No liberal supports our men and women in any uniform. It was the Dims that stirred up the riots on the police. Without looking back in your post history, I believe you did defend these cowards rioting and protesting.

Luther, BowelBrother and their elder idiot the Hunder must not realize the emphasis the military places on education, even in the late 80's and 90's college courses were offered on post and you were strongly encouraged to start a degree track. My guess is that they are pushing education even more these days.

For the last 20 years there has been a big push to have educated service members and it has been almost mandatory to advance past E5 and especially when you get to the Senior Enlisted area.

May I remind y’all.....

After the debacle which has come to be known as Nobody Does Coaching Searches Like UT, luther stayed in a thread in the FF, crying and demanding AtlantaVol give him answers as to WTF happened. He didn’t do this once, he did it for a few weeks, and even clamored that he would not cease his self-imprisonment until he was given answers. Folks, this is who y’all are responding to—a certified clown.

I think that's fantastic. Education is premium. Anyone who believes I do not hold public servants (including military and LE) in high regard, is an idiot.

It's the college "experience" that has value. Forced to live and work with people of all types from all over....tends to open the eyes.....tends to move one left.
I have had both experiences and I can tell you that I had an overwhelmingly more diverse experience in different cultures and backgrounds in the military than I ever did in college. In the military you are put together with people from just about every walk of life and everyone was raised differently and had vastly different backgrounds in race, religious, and beliefs. I honestly feel bad for people who never took an opportunity to experience that.

So you're saying there is high value in college? I agree 100%.
