It's going to be classic Trump vs. Dems to have the House Dem majority subpoena the tax returns, look at them, and then do some head scratching as to exactly why he wouldn't release them. I can totally see that happening. I'm sure they'll key on something, such as paying a tax rate they deem to be too low, but it'll mostly be a nothingburger just like the Rachel Maddow Trump tax "reveal." I bet that 1040 was given to them by someone affiliated with Trump just to mess with her.Trump says he is still under audit.
LOL.
Should be easy enough to confirm whether he is, and for what years. He went on and on about it for several minutes.
Let's see the truth about whjether there is an audit. Can't be any harm in that.
President Trump, speaking at a news conference, praised lawmakers who embraced his policies and won Tuesday night and criticized others for turning their back on him.
He went after Rep. Mia Love, a Republican from Utah, for pulling away from him during her race, claiming that led to her loss on Tuesday night. (CNN has not projected a win in Love's race.)
"Mia love gave me no love and she lost. Too bad. Sorry about that, Mia," Trump said.
The President also mentioned Rep. Barbara Comstock, who lost her re-election bid to Democrat Jennifer Wexton.
"And Barbara Comstock was another one, I mean I think she could have won that race, but she didn't want to have any embrace. For that I don't blame her, but she lost substantially lost," he said.
I do agree with you on this. He should either drop the excuse or just have the IRS confirm that they are auditing. I'd be fine with him saying piss off I'm not releasing them, break the cycle.
