2018 Midterm Election Thread

They don't like Democrats in a deeply red state like Oklahoma, and people in states like that are generally very skeptical of politicians from "the other" party who claim to be moderate. We just saw in Tennessee a popular, moderate, two-term ex-governor get whacked in a Senate race. Scott Brown won in Massachusetts in that special election after Ted Kennedy died, but was replaced with a progressive (Elizabeth Warren) the first chance they got. I bet she doesn't last long.

We'll be watching her closely.

If the incumbent actually took time out of his busy schedule to campaign, he might have won.

The Florida legislature is so red I’m not sure how much he could have done. Plus Florida just passed an amendment needing a supermajority to raise state taxes.

But Gillum campaign as if he can change everything by executive order.

So 2 years of gridlock and a few potential govt shutdowns over inability to pass a budget.

And lots of deficit spending.

CELEBRITY MID-Term Madness

You'll hear comments form a few of the extreme members about that, I would imagine. Playing to their base, you know. Saying incendiary things to antagonize -- just like Trump.

But I would think that there will be no real talk of that until the Mueller report is issued. (Assuming Trump does not come up with a way to block us from seeing it)
Lol, Mueller will retire before he finds anything. Don't worry though, I'm sure the Dems in the house can manufacture something like they did with Judge K.
