The timing could not be worse for Democrat gubernatorial nominee Andrew Gillum. Ahead by a slim margin in recent polls over Republican rival Ron DeSantis, and with voters swarming to vote early in record numbers, Gillum is now facing the biggest crisis of the election cycle: the newspaper that endorsed him just broke a blockbuster story alleging that Gillum lied to the public about a gift he received from an undercover FBI agent while on a business trip in New York City. And his acceptance of the gift may qualify as a bribe under Florida law.
One thing we know for certain: this isn’t a situation where a friend gave Gillum a gift. This was an undercover FBI agent, and the FBI almost certainly took steps to ensure it qualified as a bribe under both federal and state law. Legal experts say that in Florida it is a second degree felony for any public official to accept a bribe in the form of financial or other benefits in exchange for performing official duties.

How many votes is the Independent going to ciphon of though?
Wait...a black stereotype is black men going to broadway shows? Hmm...he should be running in Atlanta me thinks..ANDREW GILLUM RESPONDS TO LATEST SCANDAL BY ACCUSING GOP OF RACISM
Florida Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum attempted to turn the tables on Republicans Wednesday in response to damning new reports that he lied about obtaining Broadway tickets from an undercover FBI agent.
Gillum, the mayor of Tallahassee, claimed in a short video address to his supporters that he is being targeted by Republicans because he is black.
“The Republicans obviously want to distract, want to suggest. All along throughout this … they’ve wanted the people of this state to believe somehow I haven’t deserved what I’ve gotten, I’m unethical, participated in illegal and illicit activity. I mean, you name it,” Gillum said.
“The goal is obviously to use my candidacy as a way to reinforce, frankly, stereotypes about black men.”
Text messages made public Tuesday showed that in 2016, Gillum and a friend, a lobbyist named Adam Corey, received tickets to the Broadway show “Hamilton” from an FBI agent posing as a real estate developer.
The agent was investigating corruption in the city of Tallahassee, including the awarding sweetheart deals to developers and businessmen.
Gillum and his campaign have claimed that Gillum received the “Hamilton” tickets from his brother, though the text messages show that Corey told him directly they were coming from the undercover FBI agent. (RELATED: CNN Uses Sound Bite From Gillum To Attack Fox News)
Gillum has also come under fire over a trip he took with the FBI agent and Corey to Costa Rica. Gillum has been accused of failing to pay for his share of the trip.
Gillum dodged questions about the tickets and Costa Rica trip during a debate Sunday against Republican candidate Ron DeSantis, a former U.S. Congressman.
When DeSantis asked Gillum about the Broadway tickets, he wouldn’t answer directly.

These DIMs are a bunch of nuts.WEST VIRGINIA DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE WAS PAGAN WITCHCRAFT CULT LEADER
A Democratic candidate for the West Virginia House of Delegates was an active leader in pagan witchcraft, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.
- A Democratic candidate in West Virginia was an active leader in pagan witchcraft for years and instructed others.
- Lissa Lucas wrote two books on occult practices, including a how-to book for casting spells.
- Lucas told The Daily Caller News Foundation she doesn’t think voters will care about her ‘spirituality’ because they’re not ‘religious bigots.’
Lissa Lucas rose through the ranks of a Wiccan cult to its third level — the highest stage for most Wiccan cults — and instructed lower-level Wiccans in occult practices, TheDCNF’s investigation found.
Lucas’s campaign has raised more than five times as much money as her Republican opponent, thanks in part to national media attention that has left out Lucas’s witchcraft.
She authored two books on casting pagan spells, writing under the name Llysse Smith Wylle.

Claire McCaskill Makes Desperate Closing Argument: I'm Not One Of Those Crazy Democrats

Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill is on the ropes, losing narrowly in recent polls to Republican Josh Hawley, the state's current Attorney General, and she's making an intriguing closing argument to voters: she's a "normal" Democrat.
In a radio ad that began airing Monday, McCaskill instructs voters to judge her on her record, and not on which party she belongs to, adding that she's not "one of those crazy Democrats," though she doesn't list the "crazy" Democrats by name (even though we're all wondering).
CNN reports that McCaskill's push is part of a wider overture on the part of her campaign, trying to convince voters that they shouldn't punish the longtime-senator for the sins of her colleagues. The campaign is also admitting that McCaskill might not be the most likable choice for Missouri's Senate seat, but that's she's, at least, proven she can be an effective legislator.
