This is all true but we are now in completely uncharted waters. There is no telling what's going to happen in Nov.

My prediction is the Dems will overplay the anti-Trump card with nothing of substance to convince the voters why they should vote for them.
The trends in the special elections don't support your point.

Curious to see the Dum candidates platforms.

We are not them!

Vote for us and we will raise your taxes! (take from the rich, put most in our pockets, and give to the poor!)

Hey, we are the rich, WTF!

Bring back ICIS! Don't you miss them?

Trump, tear down that wall!

Controlled immigration is bad immigration. Who are they to decide who comes and goes?

Movie stars vote for us, F777K morality!

Free Healthcare!

Free college tuition!

Free money Monday's, go to the bank and get your share!

How about a free Pelosi-Phone??

Number one is pretty solid.

Just need a little icing for that cake.

Its Not as simple as "we're not them." It also involves motivation. The Dems are highly motivated to show up at the polls. At least some significant part of the GOP is embarrassed by Trump and will just not bother.

Since the article was written the generic ballot has tightened by a point and Trump's approval has gone up a point.

How the Battle for the House Is Shaping Up | RealClearPolitics

If you had asked me six months ago who I thought would win control of the House of Representatives in 2018, I wouldn’t have hesitated before answering, “It’s early, but Democrats are heavily favored, although conventional wisdom has been very slow to catch up.” With a raft of GOP retirements in highly vulnerable open seats, a president with job approval ratings in the 30s, and a generic ballot lead for Democrats in the double digits, it was increasingly difficult to spell out a path to victory for Republicans. In fact, things were bad enough that it appeared their losses could grow into the 40 or even 50 seat range.

Things have changed. If the election were held today, it’s not clear who would hold the chamber. I might put a thumb on the scale for Republicans, but right now – and it is still early – the House is likely to be close.

Add to that an economy that is steaming along and my how things have changed.

I’ve been searching for a cohesive Dem message, and it’s getting about as hard to find as the Ark of the Covenant. Where’s Indian Jones when we need him?

Good grief, just stop. You've been saying this since he was elected and it just doesn't ring true.

Dems must win 7 of 8 RCP toss up Senate seats to gain control of the Senate

RealClearPolitics - 2018 Election Maps - Battle for the Senate 2018

Dems must win 23 of 34 RCP toss up House seats to take control of the House

RealClearPolitics - 2018 Election Maps - Battle for the House 2018

The GOP isn't losing:

Arizona
Missouri

I think they can capture:

Montana
West Virginia
Nevada (depending on the union vote)
Possibly Indiana

I think Heitkamp in North Dakota is safe
Nelson in Florida is safe

Tennessee is the only true toss up

The Senate is safe and the majority might actually grow.

They'll lose seats in the House but not sure it's going to flip.

Just need a little icing for that cake.

That cake was baked and we are enjoying eating it now. Think of something new, issue driven maybe? Nah, lets just call the other side racists!

It took Trump less than 45 days to undo Obama's 8 years of work.

Obviously, the GOP doesn't have a snowball's chance at claiming that seat, but Auntie Maxine is always good for a few laughs.

WOKE? Maxine Waters plays to empty seats as only 10 millennials show up to campaign event - The American MirrorThe American Mirror

Maxine Waters likes to say millennials love her, but if her own campaign event is any indication, that might be more rhetoric than reality.

79-year-old “Auntie Maxine” held a Meet & Greet Tweet-A-Thon on Sunday for two hours, and while it’s hard to know what she hoped the outcome would be, but the turnout seemed to be underwhelming.

“Come join top social media influencers for a tweet-a-thon in support of Auntie Maxine, our fearless champion in Congress who taught us how to reclaim our time!” the flyer read.

“Millennials come energized & ready to get out the vote!” her campaign urged.

But a video posted of the event by Waters’ campaign shows only a handful of millennials actually attended.
