Dude you can't read
I said one of two things
Either a problem off the field OR lack of fitting in was the likely the reason for transfer
Either way I trust a guy that has recruited at an elite level over a long period of years in the 17 class over a kid that left a program for whatever reason
Like I said, you'll be the first one to bash Barnes for missing on Obiagu and taking a lesser rated 3* guy instead, you've made it clear there's nothing he can do right in your mind.

Or it's neither, and he just wants a fresh start for any other number of reasons. He was praised for his ecfort and attitude by his coach, and a clear path to playing time seems apparent with Thompson leaving for the NBA.
Your hard line opinions (most often assumptions with no basis) are what people find frustrating in your posting habits.
If he can't get an elite big guy in the 2017 class then yes he will deserve criticism for sure
I believe his track record suggest he will and I have confidence he will get that done
Like I said, I would put the percentages very low of us landing a top 50 ranked big man in the '17 class, guess we will see.
Then the wrong man is coaching us.
The 16 class should fill every other piece of the puzzle. Shouldn't be hard to sell the "center piece" to an elite big with that much time to build relationships in recruiting.
Keep in mind top 50 isn't my bench mark it seems to be yours. 4star top 100 talent is what I am talking about
Your post showed that this kid performed toward the bottom of the list you gaveTop 50 > Top 100 talent majority of the time.
As my post on last years posts proved you shouldn't expect some huge contribution from a post recruit that's not top 20 overall. Yet you're sitting here saying how a 4 star ranked 95 in the country should come in and be the centerpiece for the Vols as a freshman down low? That seems like a pretty foolish line of thinking on multiple levels, but whatever you say Bruin.
I'll ride with a former top 50 redshirt sophomore down low who's had a year to practice with the Vols over a top 100 true freshman post player who's only been in the program a few months, I'm guessing as usual most disagree with your stance on this one.

Now if you want to suggest that those on the list averaging 8 or more PTs and over 20min a game want to transfer it's pretty easy to see that those guys are going to live up to those rankings.
Those kids averaging less than 5 points with minutes in the teens have taken the first steps toward being overrated
Lol
Where would Alexander's numbers fit on that list?
About the same as this kids I would think
Alexander is going to be a hoss when he gets some weight on. A lot of you guys don't have confidence in our staff developing players. However if you look at how some of the guys progressed during this season should give us all confidence they know what they are doing. If Alexander is putting up those numbers as a junior I will be very pleased, it would also mean that a "centerpiece big man" doesn't have nearly as much of a need on the roster.
How Alexander develops physically will be important, if he gets strong but remains just as athletic he could definitely see time at the 4 with a guy like Giddens or Yurtseven on the roster.

My op was saying there wasn't much difference in giddens and Alexander's freshmen numbersIf Alexander is putting up those numbers as a junior I will be very pleased, it would also mean that a "centerpiece big man" doesn't have nearly as much of a need on the roster.

Of the incoming freshmen. Is there a potential Duke Crews or Tyler Smith type player among them? Other than the videos that have been posted I honestly have no idea what to expect from this class.
