2016 Election

Oh, I agree there......we conservatives wonder why we can't win and we continue to nominate people that can not win.......

You should be doubtful when you hear "X is the only candidate that can win". That's what the party leadership says to get everyone behind the candidate that will come to DC to play nice with the system. We heard that with Romney and McCain.

It would be helpful if the party leadership would stop sacking the candidates who aren't coming to play the game.

That's a part of politics. And I would argue that no one has done it better than the Clintons, so I'm surprised their names are left out of that. The Obamas have done more to further the racial divide in a leadership capacity than anyone since the Klan ran parts of the government.

Trump is actually pulling a very wide demographic, so I find the argument for him doing that a little odd.

Obama ran on a message of unity and once in office proved himself to be a petty and spiteful little man who had no interest in bringing anyone together. It's a shame to see several of the presidential candidates continuing to stoke the same sort of atmosphere.

Trump is consolidating a few particular demographics and alienating others. His favorability ratings among women and minorities have cratered. I'm not calling him a racist - just saying that there is no evidence of him "uniting" anyone on a large scale. Instead, people are becoming more solidified in their opinions, whether for him or against him.

Dear God, the hypocrisy in these two paragraphs is astounding. So when Bernie spews hate and division between rich and poor, it's because people "aren't meticulous enough" to digest what he actually means. What's scary is that idiots like you are educating people and forcing their ideas onto unknowing youths.

Dumb post is dumb.

Don't call others "idiots" if this is the best you can do.

Now get back to your crayola.

Pretty dumb of the Trump campaign to schedule a rally tonight in Kansas City...the rally location is just a couple blocks away from the Big 12 basketball championship.

Yes, the Trumpers are all just passive, innocent little snowflakes, aren't they?

Stop apologizing for and enabling them. They don't need your help. They already have one of the loudest SOBs in America egging them on.

Quit apologizing for the antagonist.

I don't know why we can't just admit the Trump's tactics for what they are. He has actively sought to divide Americans and massage their seething hate and tensions, and now some want to act like it's all the fault of liberals. That's not the conservatism of old. The conservatism of old would have seen this problem and called it out early on for what it is, instead of enabling it by constantly passing the blame.

Hillary and Bernie have sought division more so than any of the R candidates.

It really cracks me up that so many of the candidates, as well as posters on here, say a vote for Hillary is another four years of Obama that will continue the divisiveness and petty bickering of the American political scene.

Might I suggest a vote for Cruz or Trump would be the same.

How do you think Bernie would fare?

So basically we are all screwed no matter who we vote for

It's not the continuation of bickering that has me worried. The bickering has been going on since circa 1776.

Yes, I know. It's all the fault of "libs." I've been told this countless times already by conservative pundits on today's Saturday news cycle. It's always the fault of the "other."

Quit apologizing for the antagonist.

I swear that some of you have selective amnesia, or something akin to that.

I have just stated in posts on previous pages that I do not condone the protesters or their tactics. I do not support the violence and hateful rhetoric created by some groups like BLM, for instance, and this is why I keep comparing the Trump loons to them - because they're the same damn people, just on different sides.

Plus, calling the Trump hate machines "BLM advocates" hits them where it hurts, because it gets them all huffy, cute, and foamy at the mouth, kind of like how when you bring up Cam Newton to a Bama fan.
