2016 Election

If dead people are voting that wouldn't be hard to track like you claimed. But you'd have to know their name. You'd have to know their address. And you'd have know they were registered to vote.

Wouldn't a better answer be to simply ask for someone's social and date of birth before they birth?

That might be a little tough.

Hell, I'm all for making people show a photo ID and dip their finger in ink so they can't go to another location. But I am also in favor of having elections over a two-three day period, a Thursday - Saturday deal to make it easier.

Without a photo ID being required voter fraud would be virtually undetectable. How is that hard to understand?

Until TN started requiring an ID I was never asked to prove I was me, just gave them my name.

I don;t understand why people have a problem with this. It's just common sense. If you want to vote, you should have something that officially identifies you. Why is this controversial? I've never understood.

How would you vote twice? I don't think anyone really believes that's an issue besides you.

And how would verifying your social and date of birth be tough?

We have something in common then.

If Rubio comes second then hopefully we'll see a trend where it becomes clear that it's a two-man race - Rubio vs Trump. In that scenario I can see Rubio winning.

I think your prediction will turn out to be accurate. If Kasich gets to double figures then he'll stay on.

While I hope you are right, I think Cruz is far too stubborn to let go. I see him in this thing until after Super Tuesday results, which has to piss of the base because that will almost certainly lead to a Trump nomination. If it was just Trump v. Rubio I think Rubio would win by +10 in every state.

Because you're disenfranchising millions of Americans to prevent a nonexistent crime

The anti-voter ID argument is that ID is disproportionately more difficult for the lower class and minorities to obtain.

I don't know, maybe read what you wrote and tell me.

Vote twice, easy. I go vote my vote, I know your not voting so I go to your precinct and vote as you.

For that to work we'd have to live in different precincts. You'd be better 100% sure I'm not voting or you'll spend 5 years in prison. And you'd have to know my name and address.

So once again, why not simply ask to verify a dob or social?

Sure lets add that requirement to the ID requirement.

To me the Dems are saying our base is to dumb and lazy.

That is the risk the Dems are taking, but it's still no excuse for holding ID on a stick just out of their reach like some states have tried to do.

At the same time, the integrity of elections is vitally important and I have no problem with voter ID requirements in theory - but it should be as accessible as possible, and right now it isn't in some places.

Getting an ID can be very difficult. Those places are almost never open. In one state (Wisconsin I believe) they're literally only open on the fifth Wednesday of the month (so they're open less than 12 times a year, probably less than 9).

Seriously?

Kasich has the most to gain if Bush drops out. I can see the Bush supporters (please, no lesbian jokes) making the move to Kasich. Maybe a few over to Rubio, but I'd bet Kasich gets a good boost from it.

I get that, but don't we also have a moral obligation to protect the integrity of our voting process?

Now this is a problem if indeed true and reminiscent of Selma, 1965.
