Along with Cristie and Kasich.

I think Christie has enough momentum to take a place on that stage. If I had my druthers, it's be:

Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Rand and Christie. I think those five could get a really good and spirited debate going.

Jeb blew it when he went after Trump (again) and his numbers aren't rising.

Kasich had a momentary blip, but has been gradually heading down.

The rest just aren't good fits.

Sure, but I still can't see any reason to literally includ each of those except for Rand. With the exception of Fox News trying to enjoy an establishment candidate wins.

You don't see the reason to include the top 4 candidates?

The media decided he doesn't have a chance.

No. He did that on his own.

Rand has some great ideas, but he can't sell them. Don't blame the media for something he could and should be doing on his own. It's not like he isn't getting sound bites on Fox News nearly every time something happens.

Kasich deserves to be in this debate. He's polling at 2nd or 3rd in NH.

Rand has a legitimate gripe. I don't see why being behind by one or two tenths somehow gives his campaign less legitimacy than Jeb!'s.

He's been the clear winner of every debate, yet Fox News declares Carson or Rubio or Trump to have won each. It's absurd. Paul even has to make corrections on trumps behalf.

Not sure about that. I'm a huge Rand fan but it wasn't until the last few debates that I felt he did a good job of articulating his message to appeal to a greater audience than just people like me.

At the end of the day it's his foreign policy that does him in, as well as his idiotic decision to go after Trump early in the process. Trump and Cruz have the most similar outlooks on foreign policy but throw red meat to the base with crap like "make the sand glow" or killing the families of terrorists. And he just isn't that attractive of a personality in a primary dominated by Trump.

He has not been the "clear" winner of every debate.

You just choose to anoint him the winner because he fits your agenda.

Even if they knew ahead of time that the bill was not going to pass? You've seen the numbers so you should know it didn't have a chance whether Cruz was there or not. People, including the person who wrote the article, are trying to make much more of this than what it is.

He didn't vote because he doesn't want to take a position. You should have a problem with this.

He's the only one who makes any real points. I think his biggest problem is that he is too intelligent for the party. He needs to just ignore the questions and talk about how we don't win things anymore and how he's going beat China. Clearly it's a more effective strategy

His wife is an executive at Goldman Sachs. You could make an argument that he's putting personal interests over conservative principles.

Or he's just lazy. Even Rubio was there for this vote and he doesn't come to Congress sessions even when he isn't running for president.

It's all about sales, he has trouble selling his ideas.

He's sitting up there talking about the Fed. It's a very relevant issue, but I guarantee you that most people are bored to tears by it.

That's his problem. He's too philosophical and not good at grabbing attention.
