2016 Election

As a much greater support of his dad, I still was willing to give Rand my attention. He did enough to get a few dollars from me, and in a field containing Trump, Bush, Rubio, Fiorina, Christie, Huckabee, Carson, and Cruz...... The fact he isn't polling top 3 proves that what I want in a candidate will likely never have the chance. It's not getting any better as people my age (27) are shoving their head up Berne's ass with the pockets remaining open for handouts while in there..... Or they are republicans and are constantly acting like elitist douchebags and promoting war every chance they get.

He's still young. Has plenty of time to make an impact. Maybe one day people will come around.

I ignorantly voted for McCain when I was 18 because he was a republican and "so was I".....Today, there's not a chance in hell I'd vote for him. Zero.

In 2012, I sat down to watch the debate and with an open mind flocked to Ron Paul quickly. I wanted to volunteer as much time and money as I could (and did) no matter how much I had to sacrifice to do so.... And it slowly started to dawn on me, that with some newfound wisdom (or general awareness I had never had before) that people actually mocked Ron Paul for being fiscally conservative and wanting to steer clear or bankrupting wars and continual destruction of our economy and our currency. To me, these things should be #1 (in these current times).

This year I didn't have the courage to do it all over again for Rand, because I knew that I had influenced, what, 20 people here at home to vote at all or differently? And when they did they voted for the absolute nutjob Santorum, because their favorite political channel told them HE had won Iowa and was the new surging candidate!!!!!!!!!

They flocked with their mouths open to vote for him having not a clue. It was a real eye opener for me.

Now Rand finally got more than 4 minutes to speak last debate, in my opinion was #1 or #2 in performance and conservative message, and you see where he is just weeks later.

I don't vote "against" candidates. I think it's the primary fault of our country and why we are in the political position we are in now. So, no, I won't go to the booth and vote for Trump (liberal celebrity), Bush (War, government....war) or Rubio (War, government....more war....Guys, my father was a bartender you know) to simply vote against Hilary.

I will vote for whomever I think fits my qualifications for President rather they are one of the 3 options or not.

TLDR, probably, but I'm just dejected and damn near disgusted with how this has gone down. It's all about ratings. It's all about these ignorant people getting their drama and entertainment fix. Then in a few years when their premiums are still increasing, the interest rate inevitably comes up and sparks the necessary correction, all hell will break loose, and these politically ignorant people won't have one single clue.

"I voted for Romney. At least he won unlike YOUR guy, crazy Ron Paul. What a loser...third place LOL."

I said it in another thread and it bears repeating. Donald Trump is the Howard Stern of this election. He's really the man you either love or hate. I think the conversation about Howard Stern's listeners from the movie "Private Parts" sums it up best:

Substitute Trump for Howard and you have exactly what's happening.

That's a good analogy. But it's not just WHAT he says, it's HOW he says it. His quips, insults, mannerisms.

He's a clown, and doesn't even know it.

Wish he would leave the Senate and run for Governor of KY.

He says he's limiting himself to two terms in the Senate, and given his outspokenness for term limits, I believe him.

Governor of KY seems like the logical next step.

Cruz has indeed been shameless about trampling over fellow Repubs in his maniacal march to his own power. It is well established that he is loathed by everyone in the Senate.
Coming from a clinton supporter, the use of the word "maniacal" is astounding. smh

$5000 VN bucks says his pledge to odo that is utter nonsense. The ONLY way it will be true is he wins a higher office. NO politician simply does what they were intended to do which is serve a little while, and go back to private life.

If he lives up to his word then gets some executive experience he would be a formidable POTUS candidate.

Bill Jenkins from Rogersville did. First District U.S. House of Representatives served 10 years and retired. He is a Repub, and in a very safe seat. I think Heath Shuler quit after 6 years because he faced a tough re-election.

If you want a candidate that divides the party you are opening am the door and welcoming Madame President Clinton.

Think about it hog. Cruz cannot beat Hillary, if he cannot unite his own party.
You had better be prepared to vote for Hillary because I know you won't vote for her opponent, Ted Cruz.

Hillary would make a better POTUS than Cruz.

Trump would make a better POTUS
Than Cruz

Christi would make a better POTUS
Than Cruz

I swear Cruz must have hooked up with Mrs. Gramps or something for you to be that much of a hater that you think Hillary would be a better POTUS. :)

Cruz is the leader of the right wing loons

Sanders is the leader of the left wing loons.

Both would be equally bad for America.

I don't like the loons of either party.

Those right wing loons honor The Constitution better than any other voting block out there. Color me a right wing loon.
